Back yard needs a spring clean-up and minor re-design recommendations would be helpful. Yard is approximately 70 feet by 110 feet with two established large trees and evergreen bushes in one corner of property. Current grass is not in good shape, and with two small dogs, we might be interested in pursuing fake grass or other options.Low maintenance garden options would also be desired.
I have existing interlock that I will like to extend to reduce the lawn area the interlock Ares to be added is approx 19ft x12.7ft and possibly resod and area 20 x 12.7ft the stone must be the same stone ...stone is by Oak Landscape and its Villanova (pic attached) on the other pic ...the red dotted area is where I will like to extend my pavement and the yellow dotted area is where I'll need the new grass
This is our first landscape project. We have a standard sized suburban lot. The backyard is about 35x50 ft. We currently have minimal plants around the building footprint, with a fenced lawn backyard. The topsoil on site seems to be poor/minimal.
We would like to install low maintenance plantings and a patio/deck area and possibly a small water feature of some kind. We prefer natural materials but are open to brick or another suggestion. The house is fairly new, built in the late 90's.
Looking to create a space for entertaining and having dinner outside. We typically eat with up to 4 people but would like to be able to accomodate 8-10. A concern is maintaining privacy and potential noise between our neighbours.
There are multiple gardens in the backyard that need to be completely redone (overgrown and too many weeds). We would like to replace with low maintenance gardens. Would also like a row of 10 foot high cedars (approximately 30 feet) along one of the side yards. Also, add some mulch to existing gardens. Also, remove some small shrubs and trees that have died.
I have a backyard in need of TLC. What I would like is to have the portion of the yard viewed in the picture to be releveled (currently it slopes towards the area that the garbage can is in right now). I would like to have 27 stones (like the large square ones seen in the picture) placed across the area in front of the patio door. 9 across by three deep) and the step leveled to the conrete slab under the patio doors. I am not looking for anything fancy or expensive, as I am looking to have a deck built overtop of this area eventually. I am willing to remove the stones currently there myself and prepare the area if this will reduce the pricing.
I have a small 20' x 20' backyard that I want to improve. I bought the property before winter and have been waiting for good weather to initiate this project. Half of the backyard already has interlocking slabs and the other half has grass. I want to cover the entire area with interlocking slabs. This is a small square area and not much fancy work required. I am consider some work in a small area in the front lawn also if the quotes are competitive.
I need backyard work done. The approx. total area of the backyard is about 600 sq. feet. I have a design in mind and I've attached images of the current look and the final look I have in mind. It would be around 65% interlocking pavers/stone and 35% SOD if we go according to the image. You are welcome to come take a look before giving an estimate.
Looking to get a 8x8 area levelled for new hot tub to be installed. would like to know how much it would cost for this area to get levelled, filled with limestone gravel and have patio pavers (16 + 2 for steps) to be installed this month. The area has approximately 2 - 3 inch slope over 10 ft distance. Also, would not mind getting a quote for concrete slab to be poured in lieu of pavers.
Also, need electrical services to install new 220 line for service to hot tub.
Looking to have a walkway made from deck to my gazebo in either interlocking or concrete (12'-15') and the deck opened up and a stairs added to go down to the walkway. Would also look into paving walkway on side of house alongside the shed to the front of the shed (also approx 12'-15').
I have a backyard patio consisting of approximately 230 sq feet, and fenced side yard of approximately twice the size. I would like two quotes:
Quote 1
1. Pick up patio stones, regrade with proper screening and replace stones. Allowances for a 4x4 landing must be made exiting a back patio door, I believe this will consist of two footings
2. Grade side yard with slope away from house using dirt removed from under patio stones, there is a large play set in the side yard that will need to be moved and replaced. This area must be prepared for sod. Sod will not be part of this quote.
Quote 2
1. Pick up and dispose of patio stones, approximately 100 stones, excavate and pour concrete patio of approximately 230 sq feet. Allowances for a 4x4 landing must be made exiting a back patio door. I believe this will consist of two footings
2. Grade side yard with slope away from house using dirt removed from under patio stones, there is a large play set in the side yard that will need to be moved and replaced. This area must be prepared for sod. Sod will not be part of this quote.
I would like to have a walkway leading from the driveway to the shed, and a stone patio area built in the backyard. The path will be about 30 feet long and the patio area about 25 feet by 10 feet (these are crude estimates). I want something durable and something easy to maintain. I want something that people won't slip on and easy and fairly level to walk on (for a person with a disabilty). For the patio area I want to place a big firepit table, a bar, and a bbq. I was thinking flagstone or a poured concrete (whatever stands up to a Canadian winter the best).
Our backyard has a hill at the back (burm). We would like the hill to be cut into slightly and a retaining wall constructed of either armour stone or man-made interlock stones.
We would also like the remaiing hill to be landscaped with ground cover and lower maintenance type shrubs/trees.
We would like to get quotes and move on this quite quickly if possible.
This backyard oasis is desperate for some TLC and creativity. The sod has been removed under the wooden plank. Along the fence on the right and along the back fence is a narrow garden of established plants. Photos include the existing site and the owner's vision for the space following construction. The area is approx 10' deep and 16' wide.
Looking for flagstone / decorative concrete. The area requires good drainage for spring run off. Owner is open to replacing the container box for the existing garden (right side) to match patio design.
Also willing to consider a cosmetic upgrade to the existing patio for symmetry.
Bovaird and Mississauga Rd area.
Hi,
We need a small retaining wall built in our backyard. The width of the wall is 22 ft and the height would be around 1.5ft. It is at the far end of our backyard. We want to plant perennial plants in that area.
The width of the floating deck would be 18 to 20 ft.
I have attached a few ideas.
We want this done in the spring of this year.
Corner-lot, entry-into-subdivision off of main road, property in Brampton, approx 1300 sqft interlocking (Driveway with attached wrap around driveway leading into a backyard patio), with two 12 linear ft walls for flower bed, a 60 linear ft wall for ciders, and 3 stair interlock leading to front door.
Looking for specific type of pavers, accents and wall stones, with lighting.
Create a walkway in the yard (not necessarily Flagstone...). Possibly remove a couple of shrubs, create additional patio space with gazebo, move small section of fencing.
Repair Flagstone steps at the front of the house and add an additional small level in front of the door. I'm open to suggestions and not entirely sure what I want to do.
Project may be limited to walkway in the back and repair in the front.

My home is 30 ft wide detached with a big back yard.
I want to renovate following at my home.
- Front Walkway including Porsche
- Side Walkway to backyard
- Deck (Extending my existing 4X4 to 16X16)
- Patio in the backyard
I prefer stone patio and walkway. The area to cover stone might be approximately 600 sq ft. The contractor should have expertise in installing the stone and should be able to provide me with designs.
Could you please quote this project for my house? The house is 5 years old in the area of heartlake and Bovaird. This is the sketch
2 planters, One of 40 cm by 1.60m and the other in L shape of 1.40 m by 4.30 m
In between, a 3 steps stair of 1.30 m by 50 cm each step.
Planters would be 2 blocks high with coping on top.
Also a paver of 1.30 m by 2.10 m.
The total area of the project is 3.50 m by 4.30 m
I would like to use this stone or similar (I attach the links):
Option 1: Retaining walls: Pisa2, Nevada Colorclick here 2: Garden Wall Stack Stone, Nevada Colorclick here
Paver: Standard paver Hollandstone, Yorktown Colorclick here to lay a match tile stone or similar in the porch.
Please take the time to quote this project
Thank you
I own a relatively new home ( approv 1.5 years old ) and am looking to upgrade the curb appeal of the home by replacing the standard stairs that the builders leave with some nice interlocking / paver stones. I am also looking to have the backyard and side of the house done as well.
The subdivision is new, and the neighbors are all tightly nit, so there is a large potential for refferal business that will be co-ordinated through myself.
If you are interested in quoting me on this job, please call me after 6:30pm at 905.783.3562 - Dave.
