We are looking to have our unfinished basement turned into a living room area. It is a townhouse in the Orchard in Burlington, and is about 8-10 years old. We would like a bathroom put in (there is a rough already), the laundry area enclosed into a separate room, closets, lights, carpets, etc.
We have a small four piece en suite bath upstairs, original to the 1970's build, that needs to be completely gutted and refitted. I would like to replace the bathtub with a walk-in shower, replace the existing 48 inch vanity with another unit that has many drawers and lots of storage. The toilet needs to be replaced and I would like a matching (to the new vanity) over the toilet cupboard and all fixtures will be new. I would like the floors and the shower stall to have a silver blueish stone or ceramic tile.
The two piece powder room is on the main floor and needs a new vanity (38 inches) and sink. We would like both projects to be done simultaneously and of course as soon as possible.
Our 3 Pc bathroom is about approx 12' by 6' and needs taken down to the studs and redone with new everything. This is our only bathtub and shower so it would have to be done fairly quickly.
We would like a flat drywall ceiling put up and painted over our stucco ceiling in our dining room and living room.
Upstairs bathroom plumbing is leaking. Downstairs family room ceiling loosing plaster (needs repair also). Home is 40+ years, original (I think) fixtures (peach-yuck!). Needs to be completely gutted and reno-ed. Would like it done
1st week of July if possible. If not we can work something else out.
Don't need anything too fancy. Looking for resonable quotes.
Kitchen: Reface cabinets, granite countertop on island
Ensuite Bathroom: Rebuild shower, repair leak in drain, rip out tile & half of one wall.
Re-plumb to install shower system. Retile, Install half-glass wall & door.
Nanny bathroom: New vanity & taps, retile around shower door. New shower door?
Kids bathroom: Regrout tub, new taps for vanity.
I have a kitchen reno and a bathroom reno for hire.
For the kitchen, new cabs, half a wall comes down, one doorway filled in, another widened.
For bathroom, its a straight reno, not much to do other than install what we have already picked out after the demo to the studs.
Need to renovate 16 by 9 (approx) kitchen - new cabinets (good quality), quartz countertop, glass or quartz backsplash, floor tiles, gas connection from furnace and pot lights.
2 new bathrooms with dry wall for one - split and extend existing bathroom. standing showers with at least one big one
Pot lights
We are looking to get our master bathroom completely renovated. It is our only full bath so a quick turn around is necessary. We are open to new layout possibilities.
The space is approximately 11' 9" X 6' 6"
We are looking for:
-double vanity
-tile floor
-glass shower (separate tub if space allows)-if not tub/shower combo
I am looking to renovate our master bathroom and walk in closet. I have an idea for a design which would include moving a wall and some plumbing. Size of the bathroom is 9x9 not including the stand up shower. The main bathroom is a galley style and about 9x5. It is possible that both bathrooms will be gutted.
Please advise as to what is needed to get a quote.
Thank you
We are moving into a home built approximately early 1970's in Burlington, ON. The current Master Bedroom is only 14'11" x 11'10" with a VERY small bath of 7'x4' situated in corner. There is an adjoining bedroom to the master that we want to knock the wall down between and make into a larger room. That bedroom is 10'10" x 11'8". In between the two bedroom walls is the standard 2' wide closet. We know it is not alot of room to work with, but that is as much floor space as we can gain. We would like to enlarge the bath to include a walk in shower (the bath currently has a 4' foot tub in it, if you can call it that), a larger vanity (at least 48" if possible), and the toilet. We also need to accomodate space for closets. However, we are at a loss of how to design - I have tried to contact interior designers but have had no luck with anyone return my calls or emails. Therefore, we would need the contractor to find or recommend someone to design the space for us. I am hoping we can use the small plumbing for the toilet, but would need to move plumbing for the shower and vanity. For fixtures, I would prefer to purchase the fixtures on my own, as I can get them at a significantly reduced cost. We would also like the contractor to install hardwood in the finished bedroom /closet space and complete all trim work with simple 4" baseboards, install a ceiling fan in the bed area, and pot lights in the closet area, and pot lights and vanity light in bath. We also would like heated tiled floors (flooring will be marble) in the bathroom. For demo, we would be doing this ourselves.
Hello, my name is Ron and I am the home owner. We have had a problem with the tile in our master en suite bathroom shower leaking and would like to replace it. The current shower has a tiled floor, walls and ceiling with only a shower curtain instead of a door.
The (outside) dimensions of the en suite shower are approximately:
- 40 inches deep
- 40 inches wide
- 8 feet (floor to ceiling)
The scope of this project will be to:
- remove the existing tile in en suite shower
- (potential) replacement of subsurface water barrier
- upgrade shower fixtures
- replace light in shower
- provide new tile for shower
- add glass door to shower
- replace existing sink and faucets in master en suite bathroom
- cleanup and removal of all materials
We are currently using a second (full-bathroom) on the second floor for our family of 4 and my wife and I would like to have this work completed as soon as possible.
Thank you!
My basement is under renovation and mostly complete, except the bathroom. The bathroom floor is currently the original poured concrete floor. The floor might need to be leveled, slightly, which may be able to be done with self-leveling cement..not sure. I am looking to have the floor tiled, the bathtub walls and ceiling tiled, and a heating element installed under part of the floor tiles (where the cabinets will not be put).
The floor area is about 45 sqft and only about 25sqft would have to be heated. As for the wall tiles, The tub is a standard sized tub requiring tiles on all three sides, but the ceiling height is only 6.5ft (floor to ceiling). The tiles floor would have to transition at the threathhold to the already laid laminate wood flooring in the rest of the basement, which is currently about 1.5" higher.
Also requested is the installation of a two-sink vanity, faucets, shower fixtures, toilet, and curved shower rod, all will be supplied by homeowner, and most have already been bought and are sitting on site. Homeowner will supply tiles and grout also, but is looking for contractor to supply mortar, tile sealant, and under-tile heating system, in addition to connecting the heated floor electrical system. Contractor will also supply misc. plumbing fixtures to install two sink vanity and toilet, where pieces are not included in newly purchased kits.
Experience installing electic heating under tiled floors and minor levelling of concrete is mandatory. Please provide references for projects where you performed this work, ideally in the Hamilton / Burlington / Oakville area. Properly licensed & WSIB registered contractors only please. Pictures can be taken although in-house visit to inspect site is preferred.
Thank you for your interest.
I am looking to have a bathroom installed in the basement of my Burlington home. The area where the bathroom will be installed is currently unfinished. The room will be approximately 10' x 5' and nothing is currently roughed in. It will be a 3 piece bathroom with a tile shower and frameless sliding glass door.
I am open to supply and install/ or just install options
I would like to begin work within a month and secure a contractor within a week..
I have a powder room approx 6 x 5. I have bought a sink unit & toilet. Laminate floor needs to be pulled up, new ceramic tile laid. Walls need to be sanded (there is a faux paint finish) & some drywalling patched where an existing ceramic towel bar & toilet wall dispenser need to be removed. Room will need to be painted. Plumber will need to install toilet & sink. Electrician will need to hook up new light fixture. Looking for 1 person that can do all the work needed.
The house was built in 1987 and has not had the ensuite or main bathroom renovated. I have the vanity's, sinks and faucets. The vinyl flooring has been cut to fit around the existing vainty's so the new ones will show the subfloor. I will need new vinyl and shut off valves for the faucets. I would also like a quote on doing a ceramic tile back and side splash on the sinks.
Small shower stall (36x36)- remove existing tile, replace drywall, install new tile (floor, walls, ceiling), install new shower fixture, install ceiling light (waterproof).Already purchased shower fixture, other material to be discussed. Licenced and insured contractor only.
We have a standalone shower stall in one corner of our ensuite bathroom which is starting to show signs of moisture damage, i.e. bottom exterior tiles fallen off and wall damage. The existing shower stall needs to be removed, any moisture damage repaired, and a new stall designed & built. This will include the addition of a new faucet and shower head and/or any associated plumbing, as well as tile work.
