I have a small office (1 story) with 755 rentable square feet that I would like to update. It is currently empty so there will be no moving required.
- carpet removal (it appears carpet is only tacked down in places) and install a combination of laminate and tiling
- baseboards(?)
- remove washroom components (1 toilet, 1 sink cabinet) and replace with new components
- possibly paint
Would like to complete work for beginning to middle of March. Beginning preferrable.
Our unfinished basement is about 500 sq ft, our townhouse is 7 years old. We would like to just have the basics done i.e. drywalls, ceiling, floor- laminate or any other suggested cheap alternative. We do not require a bathroom, but would like to close off the laundry area and get some shelving and create simple storage areas.
We would like to complete this project in the most economical way possible, If anyone has financing options , payments in instalments that would be ideal.
Redo an existing 7'X7' Basement bathroom - Demo and Build new tiled shower and base. tile walls and floor, drywall repairs,
Create shelf/towel storage area adjacent to new shower
Install new 24"or 36"' vanity.
Install new behind the wall plumbing and drains.
Install toilet.
Install new frameless shower glass. Install new exhaust fan, shower light, Ceiling light and wall light. paint, trim and finish.
I am looking at updating my basement bathroom. The house is approx 40 yrs old. The room is roughly 11' x 8'. Currently there is a shower, sink, toilet and corner tub. The shower is acrylic which i would like changed to tile, I have the purchased the toilet and will be purchasing the sink as well. So all I am really looking for is tiling of the floor (with heated flooring) and shower, moving some of the electrical around and ensuring the piping is set up correctly and located in the right place for the sink and drywalling/finishing.
Thanks for your time
Brad
Basement corner shower needs to be replaced. We saw early sign of mould and understand that current shower wall (tiles) is seeping water through the cracks. Need to remove current shower (tiles, door, pan) and replace with new pre fab unit. We have identified a standard 36" unit available at homedepot.
This project has several components depending on price.
We purchased a new faucet for our bath tub. The connection inside it is round. The pipe that coming from the wall is flat on the bottom, so there is a gap where the pipe is flat and water leaks at the screw (used to tighten the faucet onto the pipe). Is the pipe coming from the wall damaged? If so, we need someone to replace/repair that pipe. This repair is a must.
Secondly, we want to redo the floor. The floor around the toilet has sunk. We need that section of floor removed and replaced. Then we have new roll-on flooring that needs to be installed.

I am looking to have a washroom built and installed in our basement preferably in the furnace room. Our home is around 30 years old and recently the basement was refinished for the 2nd time as we suffered a severe flood a few years back , We have never had a bathroom in the basement and did not seen very important to us till now. My son and his girlfriend are living in the basement at this time and it makes sense to consider having this type of renovation done. We are on a fairly low budget and the bathroom dos not have to the Taj Mahal. We have enough room in the furnace area to accomplish this without having to destroy and redo the finished basement. Ideally we are looking for a basic sink, toilet and walk in shower . Nothing real fancy with a lot of intricate fancy tiling work etc. Practicality and functionality s what we are looking for as its off the furnace room. The main drain is close and easily accessible however cant find any rough in piping for the toilet ? I look forward to your email reply. or phone call. It would be nice to get this done before Christmas.
We started a bathroom reno and need someone to finish it. The following needs to be completed:
1. Tile the bathroom floor
2. Tile the curb of shower
3. Grout shower walls, base and bathroom floor
4. Replace exhaust fan
5. Put in pot lights (2-3)
6. Put in pedestal sink
7. Put in toilet
8. Install shower doors. 36" neo angle
It is a small bathroom. 6 x 6
We have all the material.
Hi,
I have a 30 plus year old bathroom that needs immediate work. The sink pipes are literally crumbling. The bathtub doesn't drain due to some kind of blockage in the pipes. Needless to say, the room will have to be gutted to start by addressing the pipes. Is there a plumber or contractor out there that can handle doing all this work or scheduling/hiring all the trades necessary (demo, pipes, drywall, tiling and installing new fixtures, etc.)?

Hi,
I'm looking to renovate our main bathroom. We would like a new tub and tiles, new flooring, toilet and sink. the house is approximately 25 years old, and the bathroom is about 5f x 7f and is the original bathroom to the house ( no previous renovation done)
Thanks,
Ben.
ONLINE ESTIMATE for a 5x9 Bathroom renovation. 2nd floor of 2 storey house, our main bathroom.
Purchased home 2 years ago and appears that previous owner had done a lot of patch work around the tub area. House is 31 years old and appears the tub, toilet, sink are original.
They put in a new tile floor but did a poor job at back of toilet. Appears we are getting mold in that area as well as mold possibly around grout of tub. We are looking for a complete reno. New floor, toilet, vanity and sink, tub. Walls are in poor shape and want them to have new drywall/tile.
We want to purchase our own fixtures such as toilet/vanity/tub/hardware/flooring. Need contractor to gut and redo. There may be possible plumbing problems but are not sure. Need a plumber to check it out and repair (if necessary) before installation. Please give an approx quote (I understand it can't be a firm quote without a site visit) that will help us determine when we can start this job.
Also an estimate of time for job and deposit and schedule of payments would be helpful.
Ensuite bathroom, 5 ft x 9 ft. Shower enclave is 5ft x 32". 7.5 ft high walls.
Approximate work to be done is:
- remove floor and current bathtub/tile, etc. Basically the demo other than the vanity and toilet which will be removed in advance.
- install new tile floor and do the shower enclave tile walls & floor. Caulking, grout, etc. - plumbing to cap off the tub faucet pipe (plan is to use just showerhead, no tub)
The rest of the install is being done by owner (ie. vanity, toilet, faucets).
Older 4 piece bath in 50+ year old house.

counter/cabinet
built in linen closet

toilet
tub
wall surround on tub (ceiling surround from which shower curtain is hanging)
door
Install new:
light(s)
mirror
fan?
sink/counter/cabinet
shower stall
tub (with jets?)
ceramic floor tiles
toilet
door
Family bathroom so I want it to look nice but need it to be safe and functional for kids and husband.
Need to keep under $10K
Contract, references, etc. required
Old house so looking for someone to do lots of projects for us (kitchen, laundry room, exterior, rec room, etc, etc, etc.)
Hello!
Not sure if you can do a quick quote with this info or not??
We're about to begin renovating our main bathroom. It is roughly 8'x9', and includes a sink, toilet and tub inside a tiled tub alcove. We plan on gutting this room ourselves and keeping the sink and toilet to reinstall later, but tearing out the tub and replacing with new. We will buy the supplies ourselves, all we need is for the labour to be done. What we need is for the subfloor to be replaced as it has rotted under tub area, some drywall and insulation to be replaced, tub alcove to built up to support tile, the tub installed, the floor and tub alcove to be tiled, and any miscellaneous electrical and plumbing that would be involved for lights, electrical heater wall insert and new shower fixtures in tub from the existing.
We have already recieved one quote for the labour from a licensed contractor who is a close friend and are curious to see what others would charge for this amount of work.
Thanks in advance
Natalie Tweedie
