The master bedroom in our house was created from 2 smaller rooms at some point in the past. For resale purposes, we are considering converting it back into 2 bedrooms which would involve the following:
- put wall back up between the rooms (note that the original header/bulk head is still there)
- frame out two closets (one for each room)
- install closet doors (we can discuss what type of doors based on how big the closet would be but we are thinking simple bifold)
- remove the wall to wall closet including header and sliding door track) that was installed
- replace baseboard that was on wall in the wall to wall closet
- locate original door framing and put doorway back into the 2nd room (when the two rooms were converted, one of the doors was closed in and drywalled over)
- trim out closets and door
- relocate overhead light in one room and add overhead light to the other (we will buy a basic fixture)

The job(s) I'm considering are on a 40 year old house which hasn't had much renovation since about 1974. As with most things in life what can be done depends on budget.
What I need is a series of safety rails put in to support an elderly person; in a stretch of hallway approximately ten feet long (maybe both sides); a rail along a six foot (interior drywall with wood frame supports) bathroom wall; as well as putting in a safety grip outside a bathroom door (something similar I envision to a safety rail you might find at the bottom of a set of stairs (basic diagram below). Maybe some secure hand grips by some doorways.

I could be interested in a bathroom renovation for a small bathroom (approx. 8'x10') - new toilet, new bath/shower with safety grips, seat, counter fix-up - that's probably something that would need to be looked at in specific, and would depend on estimate, terms etc.
I also have an outside electric light which needs to have a bulb replaced. I looked at taking it apart to do it myself, but I found I couldn't do anything without going near the wiring and as I am not an electrician I decided it was best to have a professional look at that.
If you would be interested in quoting on such a project(s) I would be interested in hearing from you (with link to references please).
Thank-you.
Repair a wall where my husband, who has alzheimer fell. put quarter round to finsh off 2 bathrooms, kitchen and entry. Take down 2 cabinets in the kitchen so the opening into dining room is larger. backsplash in kitchen and possibly change countertop. Change the way the threshold between the tiles and laminate was finished as my husband has tripped and fallen because there is a raised area. Eliminate a couple of squeaks in the laminate. I saw your web page on line. We are both seniors and moved from London in Sept. I was very impressed with the reviews and hope you can agree to do the jpb.
Hello: I have several small projects that I need doing:
1. Paint repair in a downstairs bathroom--my own effort to cover mold over baseboard wasn't good enough;
2. Paint has bubbled in upstairs shower ceiling and needs repair and repaint;
3. Two exterior vents have been broken apart by birds. I have replacements that require construction cement (I think).
4. Weatherstripping on 3 doors needs replacing.
5. Faucet needs to be fixed in place in bathroom sink. Currently swivelling.
That's it for now--will you give me an idea what you'd charge please?
Thank you,
Judy
Hi there - we are looking to re-do our living room and kitchen into a great room and take down a T shaped wall that divides 3 rooms. We would need a support beam of some sort placed, and we are looking for someone who can take down our plaster and drywall all the walls in this soon to be great room. We are also looking for someone for electrical work. I will be doing my own flooring and cabinet installation. Please contact.
I'd like to sub-divide my master bedroom into 2 rooms. One small bedroom for a child and the remaining master. It was originally supposed to be built this way but the original owners customized the plan to have one really large master and only one more bedroom. We need a third bedroom with a 2nd kid coming along in Feb.
We live in your typical 70's built townhouse with a small bathroom upstairs and three bedrooms. What we would like to have done is convert two bedrooms into one and if possible enlarge the bathroom.
Everything in the current bathroom will be replaced and all flooring upstairs to be changed also, along with
all outlets, lighting, painting, etc. All to be discussed further. At the moment I'm looking at ceramics for the bathroom and hardwood for the rest of the upstairs. All doors/handles baseboards etc. to be changed.
Bathroom
Replace 2 shower shut offs and 2 shut offs on hot water tank
Install new shower and tub plumbing and faucet - I will remove existing wall
Drywall and Tile shower/tub wall, willing to have full tub area retailed if contractor recommends and additional cost is within reason
Tile around existing window in tub/shower area. Currently wooden trim to be removed by owner
This is not a Reno, this is a repair. Hot water tap does not function, currently the shut off being used and this has now worn out and is leaking, constant drip in tub. Tub was just refinished, need care to not damage.
Immediate need for shut offs to be replaced, then can schedule bathroom work as soon as possible.
Basement
Install ripped and tapered 2 x 4's to level basement floor And plywood flooring to prepare for carpet
Required moisture barrier, else
Currently 1940 uneven cement
approx 12 x 12
Available for contractors to take a look at jobs

Good evening,
We are moving in to our new house the end of the month and are looking at doing a small renovation. We are looking at removing a dividing wall ( I don't believe it is load baring or housing any plumbing ). We may have to portion out parts of the project depending on your speciality and skill set.
Are you able to remove the wall?
Can you patch the drywall ceiling?
Can you repair and fill in the hardwood floor where the wall is after removed? the wall is roughly 8ft long. is it possible to repair without removing all the flooring and still get that random staggered look?
We are just trying to get an idea of price.
Thank you so much.
