We are renovating a home we purchased in georgetown. The work is slated to begin at the end of this month.
We are opening a space between the kitchen and living room, will be removing the existing kitchen and hoping to find a reasonable price for purchase of and installation, or just purchase of cabinets for a run along a wall and an island.
the space from south wall where we would like a fridge side pantry cupboard with pullouts to a window north of that space is 17 feet so we have an idea of how we would like it but revolutionary idea's are always welcome.
I have a design that i can scan and forward for any/all that would like it for better estimate or planning.
Below is the rough idea of what we would need according to our plans to complete the work. If you want to provide an estimate for just the cabinets, I could install them, or if you would like to submit an estimate for both it would be appreciated and considered as well.
thanks to all.
Scott

A combination or any combination of bottom cupboards amounting to 96" (8 ft), hoping to have the dishwasher at the end, then under mount sink cupboard, a pullout garbage drawer, then pullouts to complete the 8 feet on one side and any combination on the other but appropriate overhang for 4 highboy chairs. The island will be approx 8 long by 4 wide
space for dishwasher : approx 24inch space
45" sink cupboard for undermount approx.
two 12 inch cupboard , one 24 etc. to complete the base.
plans call for two more 12 inch cupboards for the ends behind but whatever combination to complete depth of four feet total.
Facers and plates:
all necessary needed including side of refrigerator and likely dining room side of island
2 5/16 plate for edge of pantry to wall
1 9/16 upper plate for between the 36" above fridge and 36" uppers between fridge and stove
1" for upper between uppers and above stove
- for side of fridge
- for sides of stove if needed
4' for sides of island if cupboards not used on side
8' for back of island or some denomination if side cupboards used.
We love our neighborhood but our main floor - floor plan just doesnt work for our family of 4. A neighbour has listed there house for sale - their house was renovated before they purchased approx. 7 years ago to an open concept design which I love. I wanted to know if something similar could be done with our dining room, family room and kitchen to make it more functional and flow better. I was hoping to get an idea of cost from someone so we would have a ballpark idea of what would be needed. I have attached pics of my current layout and you can look at the MLS listing for pics of their layout.
my living room is where their dining room is now. my family room and their family room are almost identical. my dining room room is where they now have patio doors and built in's / eating area. I have 3 windows in my kitchen currently which they now only have 1 small window.
