My rental house (single detached house) needs floor to be changed from carpet to laminate.
Entire 2nd floor (except bathrooms) and stairs.
Floor itself probably will need approx. 38 boxes of laminate and 3 rolls underlay. It is about 490 sqft.
Stairs are wider than standard stairs. It has about 13-15 steps plus 2 landing areas.
I would like this project done as soon as possible, so that I can get the house ready for viewings.
I'm looking for someone who can do this job within 2-4 days.
The house is empty now and is located in Kitchener, Ontario.

Please provide your price.
We have about 1100 sq. ft of flooring to be replaced. We are going for a non-slip luxury vinyl plank. We already have the flooring. We need the vinyl floor that is glued to 1/4 ply and carpet removed and the new material installed. The area to be replaced is about 50% carpet and 50% vinyl.
I already bought laminate and wanted to know the price for sq. foot. It is top of the line click laminate and does not need much preparation because the house is 6 yr. old and I want to take off carpet which I could do by myself. There is going to be about 1100 sq. ft. laminate and 120 sq.ft ceramic tiles.
Thanks.
3100 sqft house. Looking to change out all of the carpet on the upstairs level to hardwood. All of the stairs need hardwood too. Also part of the main floor has carpet that will be converted to hardwood. Also thinking about changing the tiles on the main floor foyer and kitchen to something new. The master bathroom I would like to change out the shower and also the tiles.
Hello,
I am moving into a new townhome in November and looking to redo the upstairs floors before I fully move in. It would consist of about 550 square feet and I am looking to instal luxury vinyl and then new carpet on two staircases. I would also be interested in installing new tile on the bathroom floor and shower.
We have a 1000 sq. ft. of floor to replace. 500 of it is ceramic tile, 500 of it is carpet roughly, all on the main floor. Replacing with an engineered hardwood.
Would most likely take out old trim as well and replace with new taller trim.
Would like to have job started towards end of May
We are looking at having some luxury vinyl flooring installed in our upper level. Two bedrooms and a hallway/landing. Should be about 380 square feet accounting for some overage. Schedule will be important to us and we have two dogs that we will be home to look after while the job is being done.
I just bought a house and close on July 9th. I'd like to finish the flooring before I move in so ideally finish before July 31. The kitchen (125 sqft) is currently some kind of linoleum/vinyl and the hallway (approx 50sqft) is hardwood. I'd like to remove this and put in engineered hardwood. I'd like to get quotes that include materials and exclude materials. Thanks!
Hi,
I have not yet calculated the square footage of my home but I'm looking for you to give me a quote by doing an estimate. I have a rather large home - 4 rooms main floor (office, family, living, dining) and 4bedrooms upstairs along with stairs & hallway upstairs - that I would like to replace the carpet for hardwood floors. If you are willing to come out to Kitchener, near Sportsword to provide me with a free estimate please contact me.
Thank you and I hope to hear from you.
Teresa
Need to finish (currently) carpeted stairs with hardwood or laminate to complete a flooring project, tred and raiser. I will remove carpet and any staples prior to work.
12 steps (including top step) to an open great room + 2 more steps (including top step) to a hall. Flooring will be completed close to the top step, top step nosing to be included.
First 6 steps are open on the one side and 43" wide
Next 6 steps (including top step) are 37" wide
Final 2 steps from the great room are 33" wide
Colour to match either railing (maple) or new laminate (oak).
Preferably contractor with experience and references (or images) finishing stairs.
There is a step of around 16- 18mm between two rooms (doorway between). Hardwood reducer needs fitting between the door jams, 32" opening. Subfloor is plywood, flooring is engineered 1/2" floating installation. Need quote to supply & instal reducer in doorway ( have flooring planks to finish) . This is a private residence.
Hello,
We are looking for someone who would be able to do hardwood, ceramic floor tile and baseboard installation between Dec 14th and Dec 19th. We are having the kitchen appliances delivered on Dec 20th.
The total square footage of the home is 1300 sq ft.
We are debating on whether to do the whole (double storey) home including the stairs or just the main floor for now (about 600 sq ft) given the time constraint. This would also include removal of the existing vinyl floors (in the main floor hallway, dining room, kitchen and two bathrooms) and carpet (in main floor living room, stairs and second floor).
We will purchase the hardwood, ceramic tiles and baseboards, we just need the installation completed.
Please let me know if this is something you would be able to complete between Dec 14th and 19th and if so, how much you charge for the installation.
Thank you,
Catherine
we are looking to install hardwood flooring in the entire main floor and 2 sets of stair in our 16 year old home (painted raisers) with a minimum square footage of 500 sf. We are looking to purchase the flooring from a local flooring distributor in Kitchener. As there is a 3/8" drop to the family room we would need that addressed as well. there is currently click laminant on the floor that can be easily removed. We are looking to have the carpet replaced on the stairs (14 steps w/ 4x4 mid-landing) with painted risers. We are also looking at installed tiles on our basement hallway if your company is able to include that scope to the project.
I am about to install around 926 sq ft laminate floor in my house. I would like to contract it out.
1. Carpet also needs to be removed and discarded, I already removed 500~sqft by myself.
2. Baseboards need to taken off and reinstalled. And then install quarter round after reinstalling baseboards.
Please breakdown the cost into detail as per square foot. I will supply planks, baseboards(if some damaged during installation), quarter rounds.
Thanks.
Joe

I'm looking to have my old laminate pulled out and new put down on the main floor of my home; approximately 300 sq ft. Part of the floor by the stairs will need leveling for certain (it's on a downward slope), possibly other spots as well. Baseboard trim will need replacing as well. May get ceramic tile added to the half bath in the entry way as well. Would like to have the work done between July 6-22 as my family will be away and not underfoot. :)
There are 3 small bedrooms and a small hall. Laminate flooring and padding already purchased. First bedroom measures11’2”x10’10” which the carpet is already removed. Then the remaining will need carpet and baseboards removed before laying the floor. Remaining rooms measure 10’1”x9’ and other is 14’3”x10’1”. Hoping work can be done in the week following the August long weekend.
