I would like to finish my basement this summer. The area is about 8.5 m x 9 m. It is a three-year new house (split style).
The current basement has a T-shape wood support installed in the middle, which divides the basement into one large area and two small areas. I also like to have a two-piece bathroom in the basement (already rafted in).
Approximately 16 x 12 room in basement, unfinished. Fully insulated and wrapped already; floor to ceiling. Electrical done. Looking to fill out a home gym as one space, and a powder room as a second space. Need to finish drywalling, flooring, ceiling, move some minor electrical outlets, and some bulkheads for ductwork and the electrical panel.
Hi I have an older fully tiled shower stall, approx 3x3 that I would like a new shower system installed.
The existing faucet is very finicky and difficult to get the correct temp and pressure. If I move it by a hair it will go from too hot to too cold and back again.
I didn't buy anything yet because I don't know what is compatible with the existing pipes/tiles but I would like something good quality that will last a long time. I would like temperature & pressure controls if possible and jets if they fit in the space.
Let me know if this is something you can help me with.
Thanks
I am seeking quotes on a kitchen and bathroom remodel. The kitchen is 14.5 by 10.5. I am looking to put slate flooring down. I am looking to have my old cupboards removed and replaced with new ones. budget for cuboards 3000 plus install. New sink (300), faucet (250), cuboard hardware, (250), new light fixure (100). The cupboards will be along one wall spanning 10.5 feet, and curving around on to the side wall approx 5 feet, with room for a dishwasher, stove and fridge built in.
The bathroom, needs to be gutted, new subflooring (bathroom is approx 5 feet by 10 feet), sink and pedistall (400), mirror (200) faucet (150), light fixture (150), toilet (300), flooring to be tiled. I am looking to removed the existing bathtub and replace it with a tiled in shower with a glass door. Pot light above the shower (curently no light there), Shower head (150). I will need a bathroom fan installed as well (currently there is no fan). I intend on keeping the plumbing relatively the same, items replaced - location the same.
I have purchased a house over 100 years old, it's 'almost' a duplex, having an upstairs and a downstairs suite. The upper kitchen needs to be ripped out which consists of upper cabinets (about five feet), formica backsplash and lower cabints which include a sink. Replacing it will be Ikea cabinets, upper and lower, in an L shape in the corner. A dishwasher will be included, and will no doubt need a backsplash, which will probably be subway tile.
Bathroom currently has a stand up shower only, which is to be removed and a wall knocked out to make room for a bathtub. The wall backs onto closet of next room, so that closet door will need to be sealed shut. There will be room for some built in shelving at the rear end of the tub, tiles to be used for the surround, and new flooring may need to be installed in whole room.
I have a kitchen and bathroom that need re-doing. Both will retain their current footprint. The kitchen needs re-faced or appropriately painted cupboards, new countertops and a dishwasher, stove and fridge installed.
The bathroom probably dates from the 40s or 50s. It will not accommodate a tub surround so will need advice on how to handle it.
Thank you,
Virginia
Looking to finish the basement laundry area and install a bathroom area in it as well.
I have posted a picture of what I'm looking for and what the area looks like right now. We will need another rough in for the shower. The rough in for the toilet in the corner opposite the washer and dryer. Beside the bookshelves.
Thank you.
We're looking for someone to come and do some work on our master bathroom. We'll need the following:
-New shower door installed (fiberglass shower)
-New showerhead installed
-All porcelain fixtures (towel bar and tp holder) taken down and walls repaired if needed
-Paint entire room
-Install new towel bar, tp holder etc
Replace tub, Replace vanity. but measurements are specific. Vinyl floor has been laid around the base of it. The depth of counter top is 17inches by the door frame. with a 20 inch jut out for the sink. The same tile is all around the bathroom. Its a 50 year old house. Laminate counter top with undermount sink. (possibly granite). Pluming needs to be redone. Or just the doors, drawers and counter top redone leave the vanity. Measurements are 63" long, 17" deep at the bathroom door frame. 20" deep for the sink jut out. This is my mothers house she is elderly.
Residence is a slab on grade.
Project #1 -
I require the water meter to be moved from its current location, to about 10 - 12 inches distance, to the other side of a wall; where I want to put a small powder room where the original laundry area had been placed.
The water meter is currently located in what was part of a garage but was converted by a previous owner to living space.
I need a quote on this as well as putting in drainage for a toilet and sink for the small powder room. There is drainage and cold & hot water pipes for this area but they too will need to be moved for the sink and toilet.
Lastly, I have a Tankless hot water system (gas) currently located in the master bedroom and I would like to move it to the storage area which, again, is just beside the area of the powder room.
I will need cold and hot water lines to and from this unit; added to the storage room area, plus a gas line installed.
All of these areas are approx. from 5 - 6 ft in proximity of each other.
I do not need a quote on toilet and sink installation as this is a project that I can undertake myself.
Project #2 -
I would like to expand on the main bathroom by knocking out a wall (not a retaining wall; but where all the plumbing is located within) and move it approx 20-24" into the room next door.
On the bathroom side I would like to move the toilet and tub but the sink can remain where it is currently, with the pipes and drainage being moved back the 20-24".
Again, I do not need a quote on toilet and sink installation as this is a project that I would like to undertake myself.
Any quotes would be greatly appreciated so I can start to designate a budget to these two projects!
AREA TO BE QUOTED ON IS A 3X4 FOOT FLOOR TO CEILING(INC CEILING) TILED SHOWER STALL WITH 8 JETS INSTALLED.1 OF THE PIPES IN THE CEILING BURST AND WAS FIXED.BUT WE NEED TO REMOVE ALL THE TILE AND RE-INSULATE CORRECTLY AS WELL AS CHECK PLUMBING AS THE JETS HAVE NEVER HAD ENOUGH PRESSURE SINCE WE BOUGHT HOUSE. THEN IT WILL NEED TO BE RE DRYWALLED AND RE-TILED..NEED ADVICE AND QUOTE FOR WORK TO BE DONE.WHEN THIS WORK IS DONE WE WILL THEN NEED QUOTE TO REMODEL UPSTAIRS BATHROOM.
The shower is currently tiled and the grout is pretty dirty and grungy, so we bought a MAAX shower insert that comes in 3 pieces. We just need someone who knows what they are doing to install the insert and connect the water properly. We could help with the demo if we save some money. I have attached a picture of the shower currently and the insert that we bought.
Thank you!

This is the only 3 piece bath in our 90 year old Old South home. It is 5.5 feet wide and 9.5 feet long. We need a new bath/shower and new sink and vanity, with cupboards for towels etc. We can keep the high-efficiency toilet but want it relocated. Renovation would involve shifting the location of the toilet and the tub and replacing the current window entirely with an updated half-frosted window, since we want to put the tub/shower under the window.
the small primary upstairs bathroom in our 93 year old house is in need of refurbishment. the tub / shower is located under the sloped ceiling and the shower surround has come away from the wall. we know there is some mold behind it and need the wall repaired and tiled. we are considering a new tub / vanity / toilet in the existing locations as well as tile flooring. We have selected the fixtures and tile we would prefer. would also appreciate advice about installation of an exhaust fan (i.e. how complicated it would be to add).
We have a 5ft x 8ft bathroom with 8ft ceilings that needs to be gutted and re-done, work involved will be as follows:
- tear out existing tile and plaster walls, vanity and jet tub
- fix any potential water damage
- raise shower head by around 1ft
- tile floor, put up new walls, tile around bathtub area
- install new tub (standard acrylic, no jets), vanity, re-use current toilet which is new, install new taps and shower head
- potentially replace ceiling fan
Please include a labor estimate and rough material cost
We can take care of the painting and any finishing touches
Thank you in advance.
I have a small (5'x8') master bath that needs to be completely remodeled. There is a small shower only, no tub, in-floor heating (which I'd like to keep), 1 sink. There appears to be water damage behind some of the marble tiles in the shower, so some repair will likely be needed. I would like to replace all of the marble with something more user-friendly, such as quartz, and likely replace all the fixtures as well.
The cabinet is in good condition and could be re-used, but I am looking to replace everything else. In addition, I would like to replace the bathroom door with a pocket door, since the space is so small.
New bath and shower in a new location; new window, lower-half frosted; new vanity and sink; relocate current toilet, remove partial wall that holds current shower plumbing; new floor. Room is 5.5 feet wide and 9 feet long; door is at hend of the oblong, window at the opposite end. House is 90years old, in Old South.
Need bathroom vanity and sink replaced.
Vanity Measurements
Height 30 and 7/8 inches to top of the counter (not including small raised edge)
Depth (back walk to the front of the counter) is 22 inches
Width (wall to wall) is 34 and 3/4 inches
We are the property owners but presently have a tenant in the condo.
We can purchase materials or can be built to fit.
I have a very small main bathroom in my condo that needs an update. I would like the tub redone as it is an insert and a new tub is needed. I would like it tiled and a deeper tub. New toilet, vanity, floor and light fixture. I will provide pictures as I am not great at measuring. I would rather my budget be under $3000, if i have to do it in stages i am fine with that too.
Enlarge and renovate an existing bathroom using a 4th bedroom in a ~45 year old, centre hall plan home, encompassing a new walk-in closet from current master bedroom. New bathroom to include new walk in shower and soaker tub. I believe this would entail relocating one (I think...) none load-bearing wall and removing a closet and 2 doors.
