Construction of the following using cedar:
1) fence (between neighbors) approx. 68 feet long
2) enclosing fence and gate approx. 10 feet wide
(including installation of fence posts that are 6"x6" for the items above)
Style: simple clean line with the boards side-by-side (i.e. flush against each other)
This is in a new development with houses that are 2.5 years old. The back fence has been done by the builder and is made of cedar as well.
8 neighbours on board including myself could potentially be a few more. Would like a quality fence to be built that will last me as long as the wood itself. Would like 6x6 posts dug down 4ft & the boards spanning no more than 6 ft. We would require the old fence & posts to be removed & disposed of, materials & labour supplied.
The fences themselves are falling over, inferior builder quality fence with poured concrete posts that are sagging and likely do not even go more than a foot or two in the ground if that.
Looking for a per Linear foot price & any recommendations or advice thanks!

House is beside the road so it’s an acoustic fence with 6 inch posts. The recent storms brought down part of the fence and 2 posts need to be replaced. The panels seem fine and can be put back on. It’s possible the small strip below panels may need to be replaced (part that covers gap at ground level).
I look forward to your reply. You can message me or text me.
We are looking for a contractor to buy fence board lumber, deliver and repair our 80 foot back fence, add a wooden gate to it, and possibly a concrete pad in front of the gate. The back fence is about 80 feet long and the 12 foot posts are already in (each is 8 ft exposed, 4 ft buried with concrete), spaced 6 feet apart (except for one area with a tree in the middle, so two posts are 12 foot apart in that one trouble spot). We already have 6 feet long 2x4s for the middle rail framing, but need 2x6 railings for the top and bottom frame, and need the framing to be installed and the fence boards/pickets delivered and installed. We have purchased the gate kit already but need the wood for the gate, and for gate to be assembled and installed. We have concrete already too, but need the concrete pad to be mixed and poured 4 ft by 4 ft in front of the gate. We bought deck screws, and want the entire fence to be built installed using screws, not nails.
Hi there~
I posted an inquiry recently about wooden fencing, and I'm considering vinyl instead. I'm looking for two panels to be installed around a small patio, as an L shape. 6' high x 12' would be one panel. The other would be 6' high x 13'4". Could you give me an estimate for total cost to install? Thank you ~
I am interested in replacing my existing rear fence (37 ft) and side fence (38ft) with a Horizontal Slipfence. I am looking for a contractor who has preferably installed a Slipfence previously. Slipfence is a kit sold by home depot or Slipfence directly. For the boards, I wanted Pressure-treated wood. The height of the fence is going to be 8ft.
I will also require a gate and Slipfence also supplies a kit for this purpose. More info on Slipfence can be found @ slipfence.com
Approximately replacing about 36-39 feet of my back fence due to yesterday's wind.
Other neighbor will cover about 23-25 feet as that portion we share (we're splitting 50/50 on that portion). The remaining 13-14 feet I want to replace but have not asked that neighbor if they want to split. Will ask them tonight. They might not because they have a shed there.
Remaining fence is with my other neighbor. I will also reach out to another to tell them someonewants to replace their remaining fence line to match their side fences. But they will mostly discuss themselves with their part of the fence.
I've attached pic of my fence line and backyard line. Also attached picture of fence style that another currently has on their siding neighbors. So we're going to match that style
I believe another has 6' fences but i'm not too sure as I don't know much about fences.
I will also ask my side neighbors if they want to replace the side fences too but if they don't want to split the costs, will probably not replace my side fencing.
Priority is my back fence.
Thanks.
I'm the tenant of the property and have already spoken with my landlord.
I want to completely fenced up my backyard and is missing one side of it. I need this new addition to match up with our current fence. From the survey, it looks like it needs 8.75m of fence.
I have attached the style of the current fence.
Looking for someone to install 2 Doors in Back Yard and 1 at the Main Entrance Porch. We are suggesting metal or vinyl doors but are open to other options (but not wood).
I have attached 3 pictures showing where gates need to be installed. The backyard needs to have gates at both ends and another low height (about 1 meter) gate at the entrance porch just after the steps.
I am posting this project on behalf of my father in-law. You may contact him (Maninder) with your proposal (also via text/WhatsApp at his number). You can also contact him to arrange a site visit.
Hello, we are looking to have two shared fences replaced:
1. One shared fence is 82 linear feet and we would like 6 inch posts (as well as to know the estimate for 4 inch posts). We'd like posts dug to 4 ft deep, screw and hangar installation, 3 frames (middle, not just top and bottom), straight fence style, capped posts all with pressure treated wood. Please ensure the estimate includes disposal of old fencing and any related materials/brush/trees.
2. The other shared fence is 52 linear feet using 4 inch posts, dug to 4 ft deep, straight fence style, capped posts all with pressure treated wood. Please ensure the estimate includes disposal of old fencing and any related materials/brush/trees.
Locates will be marked by May 18th so project can start shortly after.
I wish to remove existing wood fence that is falling apart and replace with new. This backyard fence runs across both sides and back of house. Approximate length is 100 linear feet plus gate. No alternating boards; prefer a design with the boards aligned, edges touching, maximum height/privacy, pressure treated lumber. Markham location. Please provide rough cost. If considered, will contact you to arrange on site measurement for proper quotation.
