I noticed a crack in the drywall ceiling in the kitchen. I called a plumber who thought the source of the problem was the shower cubicle. I need to replace the grouting and caulking of the shower cubicle and a marble step (cracked). I also need to get the dry wall in the ceiling of the kitchen fixed. (8 inch crack).
I am the owner.

We would like an estimate to remove the shower surround and wall tiles as well replacing the tub. We would like to retile the shower surround and have a new tile inserted and to have the subsequent walls refinished ready to paint. Proper moisture barriers would be required for the shower surround. New floor tiles would need to be inserted. We will provide the tiles, likely subway tile for the shower surround and 12 x 24 tile for the floor.
the basement bathroom needs a wall repair after a crack in an exterior wall was repaired, there maybe some mold to take care of. The toilet and wash basin need replacing and this would be a good time to doit. We have some other decorating (painting and a new tile floor in the hallway) a quote for this would be nice.
Have some materials available.
I am looking for a quote to replace a bathtub in upstairs bathroom. The house is 50 years old, I'm not sure how old the plumbing and bathtub are but it looks like someone has done some tilework in the bathroom in the last few years. I'm looking for a basic white acrylic bathtub, standard size (60"x30") with drain on the righ hand side. I may supply the bathtub so please provide price with and without bathtub supply. Work to include removal and disposal of old tub.
It looks like the bathtub extends in behind the tile so some tile removal may be necessary (see close-up pictures).
Install a complete shower surround (walls, base and doors) - we can remove the existing tub and tiles so it will be down to the studs. Shower replacement kit from Home Depot - MAAX Utile 60-inch x 32-inch x 84-inch Marble Carrara Alcove Shower Kit Right Drain with Door
OR
Tile shower base and walls and install glass doors & plumbing fixtures (glass doors will be supplied) Again we will remove the existing tub and tiles so space will be down to studs.
We are looking for a few more quotes for our bathroom and kitchen reno. We are looking to get the work done in Nov thru Early Dec.

Kitchen dimensions are about 16 X 14.
Master ensuite about 16 X 10.
2nd bathroom about 8 X 8.
3rd bathroom about 8.5 X 5.
Powder room about 5 X 5.
Thanks,
Nathalie B.
Acrylic shower base was installed by previous owners without a waterproof backing. It is leaking between the tile and the base.
Custom glass needs to be removed and two rows of tiles removed, new proper base installed and custom glass reinstalled.
I am not looking for a full shower replacement as I have matching tiles to complete the job.
New base is assumed to be tile and not acrylic.
Would like to extend the Ensuite by closing off an adjacent closet. This will require moving the plumbing. We would supply the new tiles and bath tub. Would also like to replace existing shower in the Ensuite with a glass shower.
In addition, we would like to renovate the children's bathroom by providing plumbing for a double vanity. Currently a single vanity.
We will also like to get a separate quote for finishing the basement as well.
Estimate Details:
Please provide an estimate independent of materials costs.
Desire is to have work started mid-end of Dec and completed quickly.
House is approx 30yrs old
Located in East Oakville (near Winston Churchill & QEW)

We would like to expand the current ensuite bathroom into the adjacent walk-in closet space. The current bathroom has 1 toilet, 1 sink and 1 shower. Would like to add a bathtub/shower combination, replace the toilet and add replace vanity/sink wih double sink vanity. There is one interior wall between the bathroom and closet, but toilet plumbing is in this wall. Once the bathroom is expanded, would like to add a walk-in closet to another area of the master bedroom. Willing to take down the wall between another bedroom and make it smaller to accomodate it.
We will need someone to help design and understand the interior wall structure and tell us what is doable.
we are in a 15 year old home and we would like to renovate our ensuite bathroom. We would like take out all existing tile which is presently on the floor and half wall surrounding the corner tub. We would like to install a new glass shower which would involve repositioning the shower plumbing, and create a "bath seat" as it is beside the corner tub. We want to move the corner tub, closer to the wall if possible to allow for more floor space. We will need to retile and install a new vanity and sink. We will be keeping the toilet. New pot lights and 3 hanging light fixtures need to be installed. I have a very clear idea of what I want, so design ideas are not really required. Also, I don't mind shopping around for the best price for faucets, sinks, tile, etc. Thanks for your interest.
2500 square foot house (2 floors plus basement), with multiple walls on the first/main floor. Looking to open up the main floor. Work looking to be done:

- Remove carpet on main floor and second floor and replace with hardwood
- Redo entire kitchen including layout
- Refinish main bathroom on second floor (no change to layout, but new toilet, vanity and bathtub)
- Redo master ensuite bathroom (change layout, new toilet, vanity and bathub)
- Remove popcorn ceiling throughout
5 x 8 peach bathroom circa 1989. replace tile on floor and bath surround. Replace bathtub and vanity. The toilet stays. Need some shutoff valves installed and THE FAN... she has got to go! Sounds like a small Cessna landing every time it's on. We are happy to tear it down and clean it up to save some dollars. Hell we are handy enough that we can even work with you to get it done on time and under budget. If this one goes well... there is plenty more to do and happy referrals to the many other we know in our little hood.
Total bathroom reno - strip down to studs - remove existing floor tile and replace- rmove bathtub ad replace with shower where existing bathtub sits - new toilet and vanity - install extractor fan, new lighting, tiles etc. quote on materials and labor. I have a 10 year old house in North Oakville - a typical new builder type home for this age. The kitchen and bathrooms have remained the same as when the builder put it in and it is now time to make some changes to the following rooms: (1) kitchen - upgrade the counters to granite (or simiar-type material, change faucets) and perhaps the cupboards; add a backsplash; make a new island; change the lighting (2) bathrooms - upgrade the master ensuite counters to granite or marble; change the mirrors, sinks, painting and lighting. I am also looking for ideas from a design perspective and advice to renovate both rooms.
Hi, I own a semi detached rental property in Bronte Village Oakville that I am looking to update. Reno includes, new kitchen, main floor bath, flooring and a few misc items. I get possession of the property June 1 and looking to complete work asap thereafter.
Please send me an email, if interested.
We have a finished basement and are looking for the carpet to be replaced with laminate. We are looking for the stairs, rec room and a small office in the basement to be replaced with laminate. 600-800 sq ft...small basement (not exactly sure if that is the right size).
Also looking for the existing bathroom in our basement to be redone. Toilet, sink and tub replaced and the tub switched to a stand up shower.
There will also be some dry wall patching, painting and changing 2 doors to complete the job.
Looking for someone that can do this type of work. Again it is a small job but because the basement is finished shouldn't be too difficult.
