I live in Stoney Creek/ Hamilton area in a new townhouse. I need to have a chandelier installed in my entrance area. the problem is the ceiling is about 20 ft high, there is no wall in the space where we can use an extension ladder to reach the light, it would probably require scaffolding of some sort.
The chandelier is heavy so I would need to have someone install wood bracing across the ceiling joists for reinformcement to support the additional weight.
There is no need for extra work like a new power supply line or switches.
I have a Minka Aire ceiling fan I want to install. Currently there is a 3way light switch, a little beyond me. I took the exisiting switches out, see there is a traveller wire. With the ceiling came with a wall control which would be in place of the light switch. This Minka Aire wall control switch has two black wires, and a ground. The other light switch can just be in the wall and would do nothing.
I have attached two photos, the switch that was taken from the rear is the one I would like to have the wall mount ceiling fan control installed to.
Please let me know approx how much this would cost. I live in Stoney Creek near 50 road and the QEW. Thanks!
Greg
Our power is going out this Sat. Oct. 17, 2020 for 12 hours and I want to have my 10,000 watt generator to power my house while the power is out. I have two power panels one in the basement at the main and 100 amp in the garage. I would like to plug the generator in from the garage, outside.
We recently lost a series of plugs and light. Breaker switches are not tripped. Need to resolve issue, replace bathroom lights, replace plugs and switches in kitchen and remove ceiling fan in bedroom.( replace with light). Need to change two prong plugs to three prong in about 10 outlets, replace outside back light and inspect attic for mouse damage ( possible chewed wiring) HELP!!
Hi,
I am looking at prices to get some security cameras installed on the corners of my home, I have existing spot lights in the back yard, not sure if they help for the power wire required for the cameras. I bought a pair of uniden outdoor cameras. They are plug and play as long as they have power, I have tested out the system and everything works, but I dont know how to get power to them up under the overhang of my roof.
I live in stoney creek at the top of mud and paramount.
Look forward to hearing from you
Brian
