I want to turn a nook in the basement into a pantry.
3 shelves.
It's 41"deep x 57" wide by 71" high.
There's a little jut in the roof that brings the height down to 61" for a depth of 21". You'll see it in the picture.
What I want:
3 shelves that will hold canned goods etc.
Height of first shelf is 19" then next will be 18" above for hte next, then 18" for the highest shelf.
I'd like some sort of simple door. Doesn't have to be complex; a simple sliding door would do. Whatever price is right.
There's a sump pump in there as well. The pipe comes up around 16" off the floor.
I am Interior Decorator and I have this project coming up, 3 bedroom condo in Toronto, available between march 16 and April 1.
The following units need to be built and installed, the final design and measurements to ne discussed on the site, if interested:
-TV media shelf (8'x4'x1.5') painted same colour as the room, or white.
-Built in mirror with couple of drawers and a side under window storage bench linked with this vanity(8'x2' x4'- and 3-4' for the bench)-painted sand colour.
-Built in armoire for hanging clothes, 3-4 drawers, shelves, doors (8'x4'x2')-painted white.
-Murphybed- double lateral with couple of shelves only- painted white.
-under window desk with lateral shelving-painted white.
-Master bedroom wall unit to incorporate a TV, storage, vanity with mirror and some shelving (overall dimensions are 8'x10'x1.5')-not sure if this should be stained on maple or painted- depends on the budget.
-2 closets organizers in white melamine.
Hi there, I interested in doing something almost exactly like blog post, (here is the link:click here ) but without a TV installed. I would hang art there instead. Same dimensions though. Do you have a ballpark estimate of how much this would cost? We just have a blank wall there now, so would have to install an electric or gas fireplace.
Thanks!
I want to have custom bookcase constructed and installed on either side of my fireplace. They should be constructed out of 3/4" MDF.
The left hand bookcase is about 58.5" wide and 98.75" tall, with 7 shelves.
The right hand bookcase is about 36.5" wide and 98.75" tall, with 7 shelves.
I have photos and drawings if you want more details.
The spaces in which the bookcase has to fit is not square (old house), so some shimming etc will be required.
Some fixing of the oak strip floorboards will also be required before/after installation.
Priming and painting is negotiable.
Thanks
We're interested in having two built-in cabinets made for our townhouse in Etobicoke.
The measurements are approximately 33.5w x 16.5d x 35h. We would like the cabinets to have doors as well - possibly with glass so that we can store our electronics (TV Box, DVD player, etc.) inside as well.
Would like the cabinets to be made of reasonable wood (higher quality than MDF or particleboard)
I am looking for a cabinet installer who has a keen eye for attention to detail, and does clean, quality installations.
I have prefabricated 5 built in units off site at a shop, which are now finished and need to be installed. All the units are made exactly to measure, so there will be no cutting or modifications neccessary. This is just simply an installation job for a condo renovation.
Below is a brief description of the 5 units that need to be installed:
1. Bar - This is a semicircular bar made of MDF to be mounted around a concrete 20" radius column. Bar may be fastened into concrete column with anchors or the floor (which is laminate floor on top of concrete base - condo)
2. 3'x3' MDF panel - this is a simple installation, an MDF panel must be mounted above the fridge going into drywall/metal studs (partition wall). This is just an accent panel which will be holding a picture. Installation must be installed so that it can support MDF Panel and a small picture which will be mounted to it (40 lbs total). This can be done by stud mounting or the use of appropriate butterly drywall anchors that can support that weight.
3. 1'x8' MDF panel - this MDF panel will be installed on the underneath side of the kitchen island. We will be mounting this panel to 3/4" MDF which makes up the bottom part of the kitchen island. Since the exposed side of the face is tiled, we will need to screw from the inside of the island into the MDF panel's frame.
4. Entertainment Unit - The entertainment unit consists of two parts - bottom Media console and top bulkhead accent piece. These need to be mounted against a partition wall made up of 1/2" drywall and metal wall studs
5. Office Bookeshelf built in unit - This built in unit consists of the bottom cabinet unit, 3 floating bookshelves, and one long shelf to be mounted above desk area. The units are going to be installed against a 1/2", metal stud wall.
This job should be max 5-7 hours work for one person. If the installer is only one person, I can have someone available to assist in holding the units in place while they are being mounted. Compensation for the job is $500-$700 depending on work/time involved. Please give me a quote, and some past project photos or references. The job is ready to be started immediately.
Thanks!
Aaron
Hello,
Recently bought a fridge which is slightly too tall for the current cabinet door. the current door overhangs about 1.5" from the bottom of the cabinet. Therefore, looking to cut 1/2" off the bottom of the cabinet door. The current laminate must be glued back onto the new edge.
We would like to hear from someone interested in taking on this small project in our house located in the Pape/Danforth area of East York.
Stack of 4-5 drawers build into a niche between two closets in our bedroom.
Solid clear-pine front on each drawer. The rest of the construction can be plywood.
Approx size of the stack of drawers: 52" high x 20" width.
I will supply the drawer pulls.
This is a brand new condo located downtown. There is parking available provided the vehicle can fit into the underground.
We have tile that needs to be set in the kitchen and bathroom. Heated flooring is already hooked up and simply needs to be installed. In the kitchen, there is an island that needs minor repairs and installation. There is also a dishwasher in the kitchen that needs to be installed. In the bathrooms, we need medicine cabinets installed.
Looking to build a credenza with file drawers for our home office. 19 deep x 30 high x 70 wide would be ideal. Door on both sides for storage and 4 drawers for filing. Mix of wood (looking like teak and lacker (off-white) would be great to match my desk (picture of the desk attached).

Hi,
I'm looking for a quote on an entertainment unit cabinet which would be approximately 16 feet wide, 2 feet deep and 9 feet high. In the middle is an existing nat gas fireplace which would need a bulkhead built around it, TV mounted above with cultured stone (surrounding the fireplace and TV approx 7 feet wide and then 2 floor to ceiling cabinets which would have closed door cabinets on the bottom half and 2/3 open shelves with potlights integrated on either side. I'm indifferent on materials as it will be white.

Hi everyone,
Just curious as to what something like this would cost to have it installed in my home. Basement is unfinished so access from below is not a concern.
Length is about 18 ft and height is 8 ft. Fireplace is natural gas approx 4 wide with mantle. Looking for paint finish on millwork.
Thanks.
Dante
Unit inspection date: April 10th, Wednesday
Unit size: 850 sq/ft
Tasks: floor removal, floor installation, baseboard installation, kitchen cabinet renovation
Tenants flooded the unit by leaving the kitchen sink full of dirty dishes and the tap open. Their insurance company will cover most of the cost and the insurnace agent is asking me to get a quote.
The tenants are not best at keeping things in good condition so I'm looking for floor material which is inexpensive and durable.
I have booked an inspection with the tenants on April 10th, next Wednesday so the quote HAS TO happen on April 10th, regardless of what time.
