I am looking for a contractor to build a garage(detached), and backyard landscaping for now. Also possibly siding for house and other work depending on cost and how happy I am with the initial work. The person should be highly experienced building garages in Toronto + permits ect.(understand the bylaws)
Should be able to provide design ideas, get permits ect. I would like someone
who I can A to Z design + implement. I am too busy to take part in the project so I need someone who can take charge of it completly. I am only interested in licenced and insured contractors who have good reputations to protect.
Written contract will be expected. References required.
Hello Adrian here in the Toronto area. My bottom pre-fab concrete step is broken for which needs to be fix however also where the steps sit the ground has also sunk so water pools there.
What I am looking for is to remove the steps, patio stones, level the ground (packed well or concrete base) with a gradient to the side walk, possibly re-use the patio stone and new steps. Looking to get done ASAP and of course for the right price.
I need to have front and back of house landscaped. Backyard is just sand (will need grading, top soil, and hardscape) Front (small) has grass with cement walkway which needs to be removed and walkway laid out.
I would like a student or small Landscape co just starting out in landscaping that has some experienced. I do not want a large Landscaping Company as pricing is way too high!.
Larger exterior home renovation
1. Build partially enclosed veranda with overhang (previous veranda was removed because of waterproofing done in 2016)
2. Brick restoration (clean and repair)
3. Re-design front landscaping
4. Replace large driveway, walkways and back patio with non-slip low maintenance stone
Car has hit my chainlink fence, hedge and retaining wall, Insurance claim, need old materials removed and new installed.
Prefer a privacy fence, new retaining wall, and landscaping ( cedar hedge preferred) also want new driveway in the back of house, 16' x 32' (pavement)
Complete missing section of backyard fence, build retaining wall for front garden.
FENCE
Fence Side 1 width is 19 feet, 3 posts of 3.5" and height 82". Height of wood boards including 1 feet lattice is 77".
Fence Side 2 width is 12 feet and will take 4 posts. Including small gate. This section has concrete as the pics will show.
RETAINING WALL
lot size is ~20 x 9 feet wide
I don't want expensive stone, Piazza blocks or similar product will be ok.
I have the locates.
1. removal and disposal of current fencing which is a combination of wood and chainlink.
2. installation of wooden fencing with 6x6 posts and 6.5 to 7ft high (both neighbours approve) approx 120 linear feet total of fencing not including rear gate/fence.
3. removal of small trees (mostly pine and magnolia).
4. installation of sliding door / gate at rear of yard with laneway for parking access 18 feet wide.
5. concrete pad for car parking 18 x 22 feet.
4. short stone pathway and small area for soft landscaping.
5. possibly a shed+carport if can be done within budget.
Total budget of 25k for above. There is possibility of additional work from neighbouring properties not included in the budget.
Completely overhaul our front and back yards (see first pic). Front yard should look like the two photos (attached) with foliage. Back yard plan must include: dog run, hot tub, utility shed, dining space, perimeter fencing. Looking for a phased plan on the assumption that we can continue to incorporate elements over time.
We are looking to level off our front yard. It currently starts at street level and slopes up to about 4.5 feet high. It's about 30' wide by 20'. Our understanding is that there is interlocking brick under the dirt that the original owner covered over. We want to remove the dirt and see what's underneath and maybe do some repair and new landscaping. We would like it levelled all to street level. We're also looking for some work to be done in our back yard - extend an existing 10' by 11' deck by 10' by 3', remove the existing railings on the existing deck, install a flagstone patio of about 20' by 8', install a stone retaining wall garden box of about 2' by 6' and replace an existing 40' long chain link fence with pressure treated fence (like the ready-made kind you can find at home depot). Maybe also paint the deck and fence. Access to the backyard is a bit difficult through a narrow right of way at the top of a flight of stairs (about 20 stairs) because the house is built on a slope.
Front porch is on an a severe angle away from the house. Currently it is a covered and enclosed porch with sashed windows. Overall I need recommendations and quotes for the options to repair and/or rebuild/redesign the front porch. I would also like to add a design element for the storage of garbage bins.Porch is approximately 17' by 5'. House is semidetached built in the 1920's. There are two brick posts on which the current wooden porch is built. cement stairs lead up to the porch.
The back deck is impoperly built and rotten. It also serves as a roof for the back basement entrance to a basement apartment. The yard needs proper grading for drainage mangement and a new raised deck(6' from the ground) needs to be built and redesigned. New fences and gate are also required. Again the deck would be about 17' wide but possibly with two depths to account for the entrance to the basement. Storage elements will need to be built in for garden equipment, bicycles etc.
Semi detached home in central Toronto.
Require:
(a) Lift and dispose of existing cracked concrete slab walkway.
(b) Lift and dispose of existing wood steps and landing.
(c) Laying of new interlock walkway (+/- 50 SF) - I've tentatively priced on Unilock El Campo design from Beaver Valley Stone.
(d) Construction of four new wood steps plus porch landing (preferably cedar) and two railings.
Existing retaining wall on each side of porch will remain in place.
Selected contractors will be provided with the street address to visit the site and provide a detailed estimate.
Thanks.
I have a small front yard that is a total mess, I need the ugly retaining wall removed (and possibly require replacing) and one large tree root dug up, and then leftover concrete worked up and then a nice layer of topsoil spread out for sod laying. Are you interested in this job? Please email for pics or address for a drive-by estimate. Want the work completed within the next week, or else on a Saturday or Sunday before fall. Estimate must include removal of rubbish. If your work is clean and cost effective, I also have a large backyard to tackle afterwards!
I need to complete the following;
1/ demolish and rebuild a new garage (approx. 18 by 22 feet)
2/ demolish and rebuild backyard patio stones, 1 side of fence and paint back portion of house
3/ remove and replace roofline aluminum fascia in front of house
Optional projects we are considering
1/ building new covered roof over front porch, includes new patio stones and stairs
.
I need my backyard planted. I have a deal in place with Sheridan to provide me small trees and plants. I have included the design.
Before we plant, we need the west soil bed changed. I need the soil removed and dumped and new soil brought in. The quote I got said I need a yard of triple mix and 4 yards bin for disposal.
I need the job done in a couple of weeks. Sheridan will deliver plants 4 days after ordering.
Planting area is approx. 110 feet by 1.5 feet. Willing to pay cash
I would like my backyard graded and sod laid and a stone pathway created. The backyard needs to be graded with about a 5% incline going from the back of our backyard toward the front of our backyard (going off to the side of the house) to prevent water from pooling around the foundation of the garage which is near the back part of our backyard. Our backyard is approximately 20 meters long by 15 meters wide and there is a deck and gardens taking up about half of it. We will need sod and patio stones laid (pathway going through backyard and along the front part of the garage with grey natural looking stone) after this. The grading machine will have to be able to fit through our fence opening which is just under 4' wide (3' 10" or 46" wide).
Thank you very much.
The house is a century home - semi-detached, in central toronto. We put on an addition to the house four years ago. The grading of the side pathway along the house and the backyard was never done properly and the pathway was a quick, do it yourself job. There is a small deck and stairs leading from french doors at the back of the house to the garden which we might want to remove in favour of a small stone patio.
Ideally we'd like to begin this job soon so that it was ready for summer use. We are interested in something that is neat and simple, not elaborate and particularly costly. The rest of the garden is a joy.
The garden is about 20 feet wide and the length of the side pathway is about 25 feet.
I have a 5 feet wide by 24 feet long hedge that I would like replaced with a much smaller hedge and I would like to lay cement pavers along the driveway edge where the hedge was. The photos show the large hedge to be removed, and a sample of the cement pavers (perhaps stamp concrete) that I would like installed. The pavers will be approximately 5 feet wide by 28 feet long.I also need a row of 16" pavers to be laid along the south end of the driveway. The top 15 feet of that row will need a small row of stones to act as a curb.
I own a bungalow in downtown and I need to replace the evedrop all around the roof with a replacement of the hedge wood that goes with it, pontentialy install additional shingles towars the edge only to finish the job. I also need to cover the entire back of the house with siding. I need to add some concrete to the entrance in the front yard of the house as the walk way to get into the main entrance and finally to do some land scaping but that will be the last part of this project. Please contact me for some estimates and thank you for your time.
I'm looking to book someone to do this job for us and I would like to be the first client in line for spring.
This project will be in two parts.
1) Re-doing the front of the house and garage
2) Completing the landscaping that compliments the house reno
I have photos of the front of the house currently and a drawing we've sourced.
We have a good idea of the stone we want to order for the front of the house and depending on the cost and the ability of the team we hire, we may go with a stucco/stone combination or full stone.
Others include:
-removing all the stone and concrete
-removing centre pillar of garage
-laying of new concrete flooring
-side walkways and steps
-new pillars
-centring and building of new steps
-window sills
Is this something you would be interested in? Please let me know.
Thanks,
-David
I have a backyard full of all sorts of plants that I don't much like and I want to have it paved with interlock and plant cedar trees only for privacy along the fence.
Can anyone help me turn my backyard in an oasis, dreamlike place to look at, and enjoy my Summers?
I live in Scarborough and after I measured the area is about 1,500 square feet.
Please contact me asap, evenings or anytime weekend only.
Thank you
