I'd like to get an estimate for (1) swing doors for a hall closet and (2) a barn door for a laundry enclosure. There are also (3) closets in two bedrooms which likely need sliding doors. All to be installed in my apartment in Toronto.
Photo of all four closets are attached. The top one needs swing doors, the bottom needs a barn door.
I'd like an estimate based on solid wood doors.

Looking for a quote to replace two sets of commercial steel double doors with all the hardware - Door closer, panic bars and keypad lock. opening size is 68 inches. Supply labor and material and also remove old doors, no disposal. Look at photo and specs and send firm price only, This is a part of a larger project.
My wife and I are looking for a contractor who can do a fairly straightforward job to replace our standard laundry room door that swings inside with a standard, solid bi-fold door that swings outside.
The door frame is a standard 96 inches by 30 inches. Ideally, you would also be able to provide or pick-up the bi-fold door. We can provide you with the exact specifications for the door (eg. brand, material and product number), we can make the purchase for pick-up, or we would be open to your recommendations on a particular door you have found more effective. We are the owners of the condo.
If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know. We look forward to hearing from you.
Moving into a new condo around June 20th. I need the single door entry to my bedroom enlarged and replaced with 2 french doors to allow for for more light to enter the living space. The wall is not load-bearing, but I will be adding brick veneer to the wall once the door has been installed. One electrical box needs to be moved when the door opening is being widened (I believe it is the light switch or a plug outlet). I will have the french doors and framing purchased from Home Depot. The condo is not yet registered as it is brand new, and given that it is a small job I suspect we would not need to rent the moving elevator. The unit is on the third floor. Hoping to have this done before June 30th when I will be fully moved in. I am supposed to get my keys June 19th and can provide pictures then.
Door 1: A pivoting (180 degrees), app. 7.5 feet x 4 feet wide door with 3 panes of frosted glass and stained maple frame with locking mechanism, shaker style with small bevel
Door 2: 3 horizontal panels of MDF, app. 7.5 feet high x 4.5 feet wide with small trim to hide seams, on a sliding track with locking mechanism and valance.
We'll need to see work samples and related experience
Hello!
I live in a condo, and I want to cover my den with a door (sliding doors are preferred, but I am open to other options as well). I would like to have at least one panel with frosted glass, others can be mirror or solid.
The size of the opening is:
90.5 inches (230 cm) — WIDTH
110 inches (280 cm) — HEIGHT
I am open to discuss any options what can be done
I have an opening from the living room to my office that needs to have a custom door installed as soon as possible.
It is
81 5/8" High
42 1/4" Wide
with 35 1/4" of wall to the right of it. The other side of the door is the adjacent wall.
I would prefer a modern style of door (black with glass, stainless steel etc.) either sliding or french doors.
Thanks
1) Custom sliding pocket door (3.5 feet x 7.5 feet app) - made from hollow core material with veneer and locking mechanism, hangs from track to be installed in ceiling. Pocket will need to be built as well, and baseboards will need to be replaced. Some electrical will need to be relocated or removed.
2) Regular flat panel door to be installed in bedroom - will require some drywalling and framing.
We are looking to have an opening for a window cut into our old brick on the side of the house for a bedroom. We have the drawings and permit. We'd like to get the work done before it gets cold but the sooner the better. We are at Yonge and Lawrence.
We'd like the opening and exterior trim to look similar to the existing windows to match. We can source the actual window and we have carpenters who can do the interior framing and interior trim.
The house is 101 years old and the brick is original.
Build backyard deck and add door where window is.
To cut an opening where the existing window is to create an entrance
To supply and install a new door - approx. size - 36€ x 80€
To supply all necessary materials and labour to build a new deck approx. 12 ft. long and 13 ft. wide using 2x8 pressure treated wood, 4x4 columns with cement base, regular decking boards
To supply all necessary materials and labour to build a 7 ft. high fence on the south side of the deck and stairs on the other side to gain access to the backyard and air conditioner
Looking to install 2 doors in 2 separate openings in my condo. Currently there are sliding doors installed.
I will need the following done:
1. Remove and dispose 2 sliding doors and tracks
2. Install 2 doors - framing, casing, and jams
3. Install bulk head in new door area
4. Touch up ceiling stucko where tracks used to be installed
5. Paint doors, trim, bulk head
I'd like the finished product to be a complete job.
Please provide an estimate for labour and materials.
The doors I'm looking for need to have frosted glass in the middle. I'm hoping for 2 80x30inch doors, however one opening might require a slightly smaller door (80x28inch).
Thanks.
I need to install a door and frame at the bottom of a narrow staircase in the basement. The width of the opening is approx 21" (I'm guessing a 18" or 20" door will be used). I'm not sure if a door can be installed on the stairs since the stairs surpass the wall OR if the wall needs to be extended slightly to be flush with the bottom of the stairs. Please have a look at the photos and contact me with suggestions and a quote. I can buy all the materials so please quote labour.

1x 32" 60"

We have a converted attic that makes one very large room upstairs. This room has always been a problem, sorta there but we couldn't use it as much because of various issues (too hot or too cold). We also need to replace the roof quite urgently - so we were hoping to do some attic renos now. I would like to try to get some estimates because our mortgage is due for renewal and we would like to borrow enough money for these renovations. Please let us know if you are interested. I don't have any measurements right now, but they will be provided on request.
This is approximately what we would like to happen.
1. Convert the large attic room into 2 bedrooms and 1 small bathroom
- hope to achieve this with 2 large dormer windows and 1 small for the bathroom
- currently, the stairs leading to the attic are through a room that we would like to restore to full room again and move stairs into another area of the house
- the new attic rooms and bathroom should have heating vents installed
- need a roof for the entire house
There is more work on the house - this is to start.
I'd like to have an existing window converted into an egress window that is low enough to meet building code so that I can close out an open permit in for a second unit in my basement. Installation of a railing due to the required depth of the well and removal of the current concrete window well and water proofing may also be required.
Hi, my basement will be waterproofed soon so the ground will be dug for you and the drainage pipe for the window well drainage will be connected to the weeping time. All I need is for the current basement window (THREE windows required in TOTAL) to be enlarged (in length 24-inch extension) and fitted with a new one. It is a block wall that will need to be cut for the enlargement. I can provide the new window. Photos attached. Willing to pay cash.
I am looking to replace two exterior doors. Both doors are fiberglass, no glass panels, energy efficient and brick to brick replacement with casing/mouldings.
1. Main entry door with 36" x 84". Wood Finish.
2. Backside door is 34" x 80", can be white and plain finish.
Let me know, the estimate to arrange the site visit for accurate estimate.
Remove eavestrough, soffits, fascia, and install new, as well as downspout, including garage. Install vented leaf guard on east side of house.
Cap wood frames on 4 exterior doors and apply appropriate chalking.
Remove and replace existing window capping on 24 exterior windows.
I have two windows, one needs to be finished on the exterior with capping and the other is an older window with wood exterior capping and I want to put new white aluminum capping on that window to match the other ones. This is a really quick job and I'm willing to pay cash (no receipt) the same day that the service is done. The first picture is off the old wood capping that I want covered and the second picture is of the window that needs capping. There currently is temperarely capping in the second photo - done by my boyfriend just for the time being but it needs to done professional before we get any more rain.
Please help anybody :)
