I am making contact for my brother who just bought a house and is looking for some concrete work. I don't have any of my guys available and have started to find a local contractor to Lift, Remove and Replace a garage 20x22, a driveway 24x22 and 2 sidewalks 6'x15'approx. Basically 16 meters of concrete)
This house seems to have pour compaction (if any) and I'd suggest maybe compacting the existing grade after lifting and then adding A gravel with compaction. Your the professional I'm just thinking out loud.
Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in or advise me of someone you would recommend. I have pictures available as well.
I appreciate your time,
Kevin
We’re in middle of backyard Reno and have a number of areas that need a bit of retaining (2 areas), trench along side of house that had drainage put in and we need to pour a concrete pad for pool shed. We’d remove the fence and shrubs for the pad etc and prep as much as needed or within our skill level, lol. Pad approx 16x30, trench is approx 33ft long, 6”deep and 1ft wide.
Can you help?
Hello,
My wife and I are building a new home that we will get possession of around October 26th. We will only be provided with a gravel driveway that is 20 feet wide, 37 feet long (with room for a 4'11 sidewalk installed by the developer). The driveway itself will only be gravel initially.
But we are hoping for a nicer driveway. What we prefer is a dark stamped concrete that can look good with neighbours being asphalt. But it depends on price. So I'm wondering on the price for this vs asphalt.
I also wonder when is best to start. The builder states that it should be in the spring. I've also read that driveways should be done in two stages so that it stays in good condition.
Please advise what you think and your quote.
Thanks
I would like a basement entrance installed to our 35 year old home which will include excavating the site, installing a concrete stairwell with railings, connecting to existing drainage, breaking through the foundation, installing a door with fixtures and locks. We wish this to go off the front driveway and into the front of the house. We have drawings/plan and have a work permit from the City of Waterloo.
I have a concrete driveway that either needs to be repaired or replaced. Currently it is crumbling away due to improper installation by the previous homeowner. I either would like to repair with a decorative concrete. Or remove and replace with concrete or asphalt. The size is 21 x 19. If the existing concrete can be used then I would like to remove a section of it, since it butts right up to the front of the house and I would have the corners rounded to make it more appealing. I would like a detailed quoted.
