Front door to the apartment building has a separate key slot for the mailman to enter. There is an electrical unit that opens the door. Recently I believe the unit burned out and the mailman is not able to open the door. Need an electrician or a man specializing in such instrumentation to fix this problem.
I tried to turn on my dining room light and now all the outlets and lights in that circuit won't generate electricity. Turning the breaker off and on does nothing. All the other outlets and lights seem to work. I am the owner of the house and it was built in 1952. I had the electrical panel redone just over a year ago and am not sure what else has been done to the wiring.
I have a bathroom fan attached to the ceiling on the main floor of a bungalow and wired to the wall switch, but need someone to vent it through the roof. It can't be vented through the side of the house because there is a sun room there. Also, check to see if our existing kitchen hood fan and bathroom fan are both vented properly and if I need to change the kitchen venting because we are changing from an electric to gas stove. I'm having a hard time finding someone to do this small job but it needs to be done.
Move wall switch to another wall (the floor below is all drop ceiling)
Install an electrical outlet as there is nothing present now.
Install wiring for a ceiling exhaust fan (bathroom has no existing fan)
House is older so no GFCI for the bathroom wiring which I would like to add.
The fence in our parking lot needs some serious repair/replacement. See attached photo.
1. Car Parking Lot Scope of Work
- remove wood railing of total 55 Fit
- straighten and paint posts
- install new metal galvanized railing of total 58 Ft
- garbage disposal
2. Electrical Scope of Work
- disconnect main power for car outlets and run dedicated indoor ON/OFF switch
- old plugs and wiring removed
- remove old and install new conduit
- install new wiring and car power outlets
We have several projects that can hopefully be done in one contract.
1. Convert/change a timer switch for interior hallway lights of a 12 suite condo to a light sensor switch.
2. Add a floodlight to illuminate the parking lot.
3. Add a (color) security camera for front and rear entrances. This will include a digital PVR (located in the electrical room) and linking this up to the building's cable TV service via a modulator. The job will involve running (plastic) conduits on the exterior of the building that is big enough to accommodate all of the wires needed for the light sensor, flood light and cameras.
The president of the condo board (me) has a background in Electronics/video and would like to talk to a versatile contractor about $$$ estimates.
Urgent Action Required
House built in the 50's, but has had upgrades.
This is a time sensitive job.
1. Rewire and install light switches,
2. Fix wiring for outside light, and a couple lights inside,
3. Put in a garage light.
This is a small job, as numbers 1 & 2 are somewhat connected. It is basically just putting the entryway light switches in a new location. Everything is quite open, and the ceiling is easily accessible. I think that all the required wires are tagged as to the light they belong to. So it just a redo type of job.
Number 3 is if possible, not urgent.
Need an electrician to do the following electrical finishes :
-install 4 light fixtures
-install 11 outlets and 2 GFIs
-install 9 switches & 2 dimmers
-install two in ceiling speakers
All the wiring is run and boxes installed, just need to do the finishing touches. Really easy job, should take a couple of hours.
Wondering if you're interested in designing and doing the build out for the electrical in a car wash that is being built in SW Edmonton? We have available a drawing of the proposed floor plan for the car wash which we can email to you. The car wash will have 10 wand wash bays and 1 automatic wash bay on the side of the building. Thank you,
Jill
As shown in attached photos there is a bunch of existing wiring that needs to be rerouted to make way for our new kitchen. Plus, new locations of counter, island and fridge outlets. Oven is remaining in the same location and should not have to be moved. Two kitchen ceiling lights need to be moved. I will do the dirty work with punching holes in the attic and running the wire. Permit will be required. Electrical panel is 100A, directly below the kitchen and has lots of empty circuits.
See attached photos and let me know if you have any questions.

Hi,
Would like to upgrade my electrical service from 100A to 200A. The Epcor transformer is on my property and about 10-15 m from the existing panel. The wire is underground.
Also, I need a new main panel (2017 standards) AND a new emergency subpanel that will take a solar installation.
Would like to know first a ballpark cost
Regards,
Leonard
I require some additional lighting in the main-second floor stairwell and a light fixture installed in the master bedroom (2nd floor). The walls to the stairwell and the area above the master bedroom is accessible from the attic.
I also have what appears to be the original electrical panel from 1972, so the panel may require upgrades to meet current code requirements.
We have a finished backyard with electrical wire buried under stone steps along the side of the house. Both ends of the wire are outside the house, are not buried, and are not connected to anything. One end needs to be connected to the electrical panel box inside our basement, the other end needs to be connected to an outdoor post light. We are looking for certified electricians and online estimates only. Thanks!
1940s 1200 square foot semi bungalow. Seller upgraded to 100 amp service two years ago. We have torn out the kitchen to replace drywall and cabinets. Upon opening up the walls we realized the electrical upgrades that will be needed including either a sub panel or bigger box and upgrades to Wiring to most of the house to bring it up to code.
