Move wall switch to another wall (the floor below is all drop ceiling)
Install an electrical outlet as there is nothing present now.
Install wiring for a ceiling exhaust fan (bathroom has no existing fan)
House is older so no GFCI for the bathroom wiring which I would like to add.
We have several projects that can hopefully be done in one contract.
1. Convert/change a timer switch for interior hallway lights of a 12 suite condo to a light sensor switch.
2. Add a floodlight to illuminate the parking lot.
3. Add a (color) security camera for front and rear entrances. This will include a digital PVR (located in the electrical room) and linking this up to the building's cable TV service via a modulator. The job will involve running (plastic) conduits on the exterior of the building that is big enough to accommodate all of the wires needed for the light sensor, flood light and cameras.
The president of the condo board (me) has a background in Electronics/video and would like to talk to a versatile contractor about $$$ estimates.
Urgent Action Required
House built in the 50's, but has had upgrades.
This is a time sensitive job.
1. Rewire and install light switches,
2. Fix wiring for outside light, and a couple lights inside,
3. Put in a garage light.
This is a small job, as numbers 1 & 2 are somewhat connected. It is basically just putting the entryway light switches in a new location. Everything is quite open, and the ceiling is easily accessible. I think that all the required wires are tagged as to the light they belong to. So it just a redo type of job.
Number 3 is if possible, not urgent.
Need an electrician to do the following electrical finishes :
-install 4 light fixtures
-install 11 outlets and 2 GFIs
-install 9 switches & 2 dimmers
-install two in ceiling speakers
All the wiring is run and boxes installed, just need to do the finishing touches. Really easy job, should take a couple of hours.

I also have what appears to be the original electrical panel from 1972, so the panel may require upgrades to meet current code requirements.
We have a finished backyard with electrical wire buried under stone steps along the side of the house. Both ends of the wire are outside the house, are not buried, and are not connected to anything. One end needs to be connected to the electrical panel box inside our basement, the other end needs to be connected to an outdoor post light. We are looking for certified electricians and online estimates only. Thanks!

New home purchase. Pre-sale inspection report recommends a professional electrician have a look at a couple of sore spots & provide an estimate. Looking to have the estimate & work done by the 10th of September, but will settle for a complete estimate, and work dates scheduled by then.
At the minimum, the job is likely going to entail grounding of 4 outlets, and terminating a wire in the garage.
Interested contractors should provide all details this website advises me to ask of you, including insurance / WCB coverage, and a couple of references; saves us both one step in the conversation!

1360 sq ft bungalow in Edmonton requires rewiring with copper wire - currently have aluminum installed. Basement is unfinished and will allow access to walls on main floor. The house is 36 years old and for insurance purposes upgrading to copper wire is required. Currently have 120 amp breaker. Not sure if this will require replacement.
Currently have some issues with some plug ins not working and there is a concern with plug ins for computer room and entertainment center being overloaded. Additional plugins/breakers may be required for these areas. Entertainment center is in basement.
Hi there my name is Laron, and i need to install 2 15 amp breakers or 1 30 amp ( which ever makes more sense) I am living in an unfinished basement and i have 2 outlets to run off of. 1 outlet is from a spare room to 100 FT extension cord (10 AMP 1250 Watt) run off of a Sub breaker. The other outlet is run off a regular 2 socket outlet with a 6 socket power bar/pad attached to it is a Phone modem, Washer, Fridge. deep freezer, utility light and an Computer running as a server. Everytime a load of laundry needs to be done in the washer the server has to be shut down or the breaker trips mid cycle (too many amps im guessing). if i move the server onto the Sub panel (100 FT Extension cord) the breaker on the sub panel seems more prone to being tripped, and there is some issues with the pilot light going out on the water heater.
-need to install proper parts/breaker(s) etc to run 4 computers without affecting any other appliances
I have a few small projects in my home that need some expertise:
Installation of a fan in the bathroom
Switching stove fan to over-the-range microwave (would include resizing the cabinets)
Repair drywall (around electrical panel, very small area)
3 small plumbing leaks
1 light in the basement not working
Looking for quotes for a nearly whole home rewire (kitchen and basement already updated). Older home (1930) with K&T throughout main and upper level. Plaster walls (hope to keep them intact) with NO insulation in them. Wide baseboard (6") should provide a way of hiding most of the work. Would like to upgrade service to 200amps as I will later build a basement suite and a shop out back. Panel upgrade.
Also looking for dishwasher circuit, safety plugs (kidproof), some USB outlets, CAT6 network to most rooms.
Please email if interested.
We would like to install a kitchen stove hood vent fan in our basement suite. House was built in 1955 and the the baesment suite has existed 15+ yrs. The stove is along an outside wall so venting straight outside should be possible. The height of the vent fan would be about 24" about the sidewalk on the outside wall since the style of house is a raised bungelow. The material on the outside of the exterior wall is cement pargement so there is no siding or masonary to cut. We should be able to do the install ourselves but are looking for a quote in getting the 4 inch hole cut in the concrete
