We're interested in replacing most of the flooring in our condo. It's wood frame building built in 1987.
Job will likely include.
1. Tear out and disposal of carpet & carpet pad.
2. Leveling (if required)
3. Helping us procure materials (vinyl plank, soundproof underlay, moldings and transitions, ect)
4. Install of materials.
5. All while we move the furniture around as you go. If you have expertise on installing flooring in a "lived in home" this would be great.
Flooring area to be done is roughly 600 square feet.
When quoting, if you could also include how many hours (ie. 10 hours over 2 days) you think it will take to get the job done as we also have a 4 year old at home and can only manage the chaos of moving everything around for so long.
I am installing solid Bamboo T&J in my condo. I am doing the work myself but need someone to do the stairs.
There are 13 stairs in total (3 pie shaped) and one small landing. I have the product and stair nosings and just need someone to do the stairs.
Easy access - located in New Westminster, BC

I am awaiting additional quotes and will proceed with the best advice, quality of work through revieiws, and pricing.

Hi there,
I would like to install laminate flooring and baseboard throughout my 1000 sq ft unit.
Also would like to update bathroom with new tile, tub surround, shower curtain bar, backsplash, faucet install, light fixture install, ceiling fan install, toilet install. I would buy all materials ready to go and would like to do demo work myself to keep costs as low as possible.
Thanks very much.

Leak remediation in ground floor deck storage room and in condo unit.
Descriptions are approximate and I would be glad to show GC work to be done if they can arrange to visit and inspect. Happy to accept storage room remediation job first and work on condo after.
Storage Room 3' x 10' x 10' high:
-Remove wooden shelving.
-Remove drywall where previous leak has caused wetness and mold.
-Replace drywall sections, optionally with green board
-Lay stick-on membrane along back wall 3' that borders the condo, up the wall a few inches, to prevent any further water ingress from storage room to condo living room.
Condo living room and dining room approx. 250 sq ft:
-Remove baseboards
-Demolish/replace existing laminate floors in living room and dining room
-At owner's discretion, replace other floors in condo with matching laminate
-Replace existing baseboards or install new baseboards
- Light moving of furniture within condo required or can arrange separately
The transition board under my entrance door is not parallel with the door. The gap is much thinner on one side and this does not allow a door shoe sweep to be installed. I get the "pleasure" of smelling all my neighbours' cooking and welcoming the building's bugs into my home! The strata requires all units to use the same transition, but they have approved me to get mine cut or sanded to fix the problem. Please help!
Project is about 900 sqft 3 bedroom owner occupied condo unit. We would like to replace the carpet in the hallway and living room and 3 bedrooms with laminate or engineered hardwood. Would like quotes for entire project. We would like to receive quotes for either owner-supplied materials (i.e. labour contract only) and/or full project (labour and materials) contract.
main floor about 850 sq ft, has old douglas fir hardwood shiplap style. it's creaks and crackles when walking across it. We would like the old flooring removed to replace it with new hard wood or engineered hard wood. There is a kitchen, 2 bedrooms + closets that have this old flooring, additionally there is a 3rd bedroom, that used to be a kitchen, so its flooring consists of tile, on top that is underlay, and carpet that we would want to removed, and replaced with new flooring. We could remove as much of the old flooring to save time.
Living room 9'6 X 7'6
Eating area 7'0 X 4'0
Kitchen 11'0 X 8'1
Bedroom 11'11 X 9'11
Bedroom 10'4 X 7'11
Bedroom (with tile under carpet) 11'4 X 8'11
Budget $7000 - $10,000
I am removing two layers of old peel and stick vinyl flooring from my kitchen, hallway, and bathroom. The bottom layer is proving tough to remove even when heating it with an iron. The kitchen is 98 sq feet, the hallway is 27, and the bathroom is 33. I want all the flooring removed and the base plywood glue cleaned up.
Hello,
My wife and I have been living in our town house for years looking at the poorly done stairs. We have two flights of stairs approx. 30-35 stairs. The stairs do not curve around a beam or anything. The laminate was placed over top of the stairs without the original stair lip cut off. The town house originally was came with carpet. We have extra laminate pieces and are willing to buy the nose pieces and supplies but first we are inquiring about the price of labour/stair it would cost to cut off the lip and reinstall the laminate.
