- Remove and dispose of laminate flooring (approximately 710 square feet total)
- Dispose of old baseboards and door casings (we will remove them ourselves beforehand)
- Install laminate floor and underlay in condo - approximately 630 square feet
- Cut, install and paint baseboards and door casings
I have the flooring, underlay, casing, and baseboards/casings already, and will buy the paint for the baseboards.
I am on the 2nd floor of a condo so you will need to use the elevator. There is underground parking for visitors but the height is restricted so you may have to park at the clubhouse if you have an over-height vehicle. You will be required to sign in and out with the property manager on a daily basis.
I am the owner of the unit and require a minimum of 1 week notice prior to project start as I have to pick up the flooring still and have some furniture to get rid of.
We'd like to remodel the family room on the ground floow towards the back of the house. We'd like to tear up the carpet and put in laminate flooring. I'd also like to take out the sliding patio door and replace it with french doors. We also have a wood fireplace in the room that has a natural gas insert installed. The fireplace has a brick hearth around it and a lip that sticks out at the bottom. The lip is about 18" tall and 7 feet long and sticks out about 2'. I'd like to get rid of the entire hearth and replace the insert with one that is flush with the wall. The room is about 17 feet by 11 feet and has a small hallway about 5 feet by 4 feet that would also need to be laminated.
Please arrange to provide a quote to install approximately 800 square feet of tongue and groove engineered hardwood. This includes 12 stairs and a small landing. We have the material, including the stair nosing and underlay. It's a floating floor and the hardwood needs to be glued together.
Many thanks,
Jonathan
We have approximately 360 sqft of vinyl flooring (+ overs) that will need to be installed this coming weekend. Flooring will need to be installed on the main floor, in our living room and dining room areas. We will need this done in 1-2 days. Personal effects and furniture will be stored. Materials for installation will be readily available. Existing flooring will be removed prior to start.
Replace Existing Laminate With New: Approx 250 sf with centre island. Part of room is in the original house and part in a newer addition. There is a very slight mismatch in floor levels between the two
Reason For Replacement: There is a small area that gives when walked on, and creaks badly. This did not happen for the first few years and has gradually got worse. I assume this cannot be repaired and in any case the original colour is discontinued. The underside of the subfloor in this area is not open to view. It is over an outdoor area so soffit and insulation must be removed.
I will reinstall the baseboards myself.
-installation must occur from April 18-24, 2016 (must be complete by April 24th)
-install laminate floor, and baseboards and underlay for family room, dining room, hallway, 13 stairs, two stair stations, kitchen entrance and closet (780 sqf)
-includes installation of 13 steps with wood nosing
-installation of laminate floor, and baseboards and underlay for 3 bedrooms and closets (340 sqf)
-in addition require removal and disposal of carpet, clean job site, caulking of baseboards, help moving furniture
-need references of the last 3 laminate floor installation work performed
I am looking for on-Iine estimates for laminate installation. I require installation of new laminate floating floor in my living room and one hallway, approximately 360 sq.ft. The existing floor covering is (old) carpet over a concrete floor which appears to be in good shape. (I am in a ground level 14-year-old condo and there is no issue with the strata regarding this installation). There is a fireplace in the living room with about a foot of tile in front of it, so this would have to have some sort of finishing strip where the laminate abuts the tile. I had this done before in a previous condo when I had a professional instal the laminate floor, however the guy seemed to have trouble fitting this properly and I ended up looking at a gap in this area for the remainder of my time in the suite. I would prefer not to have this happen again. I would also like to know how much additional cost there would be for removal/disposal of the existing carpet and underlay. I will supply the laminate and underlay (3 in 1), however require a professional to do the actual installation for me. I understand a contractor undertaking the job would actually have to view/inspect the area I want done in order for me to receive a detailed/accurate quote, however I would like an on-line estimate first. This is a job I would like to have done as soon as possible, in order to take advantage of the Tax rebate.
I would like to have laminate flooring installed in a couple of bedrooms in my house. My house is 3 years old. Currently we have carpets in both of these bedrooms. The bedrooms are located on the 3rd floor of my townhouse. The approx square footage of both bedrooms is around 200 square feet in total.
Please contact me further so we can discuss more details in regards to this project at my house.
thank you
We're hoping to do the floors on the new place before moving in - we get the keys on the 16th of April, move date is April 24th - a start date of April 18 would be ideal.
Another flooring company came in and measured for an estimate, but we're not super happy with their product range. Found a decent laminate we like, but they don't install. Bummer!
1420sqft spread over two floors - top floor has 3 bedrooms (with closets) and a hallway. Two bathroom doors and a laundry cabinet that will need transitions as well. Main floor has two living rooms, kitchen, powder room and 2 small closets.
Current estimate is about 23ft of transitions (doorways, etc), 20ft of base shoe molding around the kitchen cabinets and fireplace, and two steps - the top step of each staircase. We will keep the carpet on the actual stairs.
We will provide the materials, we will also remove and dump the current carpet/laminate. The plan is to re-use the current baseboards as they're in decent enough shape - we can remove the baseboards when we're pulling the carpets.
