Hello,
We have a rental unit in the Mount Pleasant area in which the multi-handle shower valve/rough-in needs to be replaced. I'm not sure it access will require removing the tiles or if it can be accessed from the other side of the wall - either way wall repair will be required. We are the owners of the multi-unit property and the unit in question is currently tenanted.
Thank you.
We currently have a walk-in shower in our condo and would like to replace it with a bathtub.
We are the owner of our condo, built in 2011
Wood frame building
Dimensions of shower: 58"x 29"
Would like subway tiles on walls
Will need a licensed plumber to complete any plumbing work, as per strata by-laws
We are a 56 unit housing for in downtown Vancouver. We require the services of reliable and experienced tilesetters for a number of projects in our building, namely:
1 Wheel-in shower replacement. Includes shower surround (3' x 5' x 7') and floor (6' x 9'). Make good two existing floor drains.
5 tub surrounds. Includes walls to 7 feet (3' x 5') and return wall (2' x 7').
Contractor must be familiar with KERDI waterproofing products. Spec/Instruction to Bidders is available to interested parties.
Wheel-in shower is priority at this time.
Looking to replace our broken vanity countertop.
Due to poor install of our previous bathroom vanity by a contractor (he left the spacers adhered, causing the countertop to be vulnerable), our quartz countertop broke (from front to back), so we are looking to have it replaced.
The replacement countertop has been purchased & cut according (opening for basin), & a replacement basin has also been purchased, just in case it is not able to be removed from the adhesion (although the basin itself was not compromised when the countertop broke).
We are hoping to continue the tile work to the right-hand side of the vanity, since the vanity will be pulled out anyways. We are -also- thinking of removing the entire wall mirror and just tiling front top to bottom, then adding a round mirror, plus lighting just above the sink, so electrical may also be required for the light fixture. All tiles will be purchased as well as caulking since I work at a design firm & I get trade pricing.
Looking forward to your reply & feedback! We are pretty flexible!
Thanks in advance!
Not changing the location of anything.
Taking out old tub and replacing with new 5ft acrylic tub
Removing old shower tiles and installing new tile, approx 75 sq ft of tile
Small bathroom in a condo. Building was built in 1975
Shut-off valve for my suite and the suite next door is accessible in the hallway
Parking for contractors is available in the basement
Strata has approved my application for reno's.
I will be providing the new tub, tiles, and faucet.
We have a leak in our house that is going under the tiles and coming up on the bedroom carpet from our ensuite. Possible leakage from the coupling ring that is not high enough to create a proper seal, as this was an issue in the past after the tiles had been placed on the floor. Toilet was put on after placing down tiles. Need to have done ASAP. We are the owners of the property.
Condo built in 1992: Shower/Bathtub area to renovate
Issue:
- Tile behind shower spout is cracked, some water has leaked through and it's starting to bulge out
- Cannot turn the shower water off properly, water keeps dripping from the spout (cartridge seems to be broken - seems loose)
Work to be done:
- Wanna make sure the wall behind the shower is not affected, if it is, then replace the wall and retile
- Change shower fixture/cartridge
- Change bathtub drain (currently rusted due consistent dripping water from spout)
We are a daycare centre and are needing to replace our bathroom countertop-which has 2 sinks. We are also hoping to have shelved cabinets built in to replace a couple of 2 large pullout drawers.
I am required by licensing to get 2 quotes (from seperate contractors) to prepare a report so I can apply for grant money. Currently, I am needing these 2 quotes done before I can guarantee work.
I need an affordable company to perform restoration work on my condo's small, 40 square foot bathroom and part of the ajoining entrance area. At this point, I'm looking for quotes/estimates to determine a short list of contractors who fit within budget, and are are qualified, licensed, insured, and can start on the work ASAP. Those who meet these criteria will be asked for an onsite meeting.
Please view the attached photos to assist in estimating. (Additional photos available upon request)

I live in a 12 year old condominium and am looking to update my bathroom. I'm looking to retile the shower- I would like large white tiles with a strip of glass brick or mosaic tiles in blues or browns, I'm looking to change the lighting to ceiling lighting so it is flush, looking to add a more powerful fan if possible (not sure as it's condo venting), and looking to change the countertop (currently banjo counter with acrylic/laminate/particle board type surface). The size is not big I'm sorry I don't have exact measurements but it's big enough for a tub/shower, and vanity that extends over the toilet..toilet and vanity on one side, shower/tub on other.
I have a one bedroom condo in DT Vancouver. It's not huge (760 sqft) and has a bathroom and kitchen typical of condos that size.
I want to completely rip out and renovate the kitchen and bathroom. I've chosen the basic items I want (floor tiles, bathtub, kitchen cabinets and appliances etc) and we need someone to organise the tear down and installation of the new stuff.
I also want to change the layout of both rooms and expand the current pass through in our kitchen.
Two bathrooms and possible closet to renovate in 1992 built condominium building.
Bathroom 1 - Approximately 4 ft x 9 ft, 36 sq. ft. Replace existing shower with higher end glass wall shower, replace vanity, toilet, mirror, lighting and wall fixtures. Tile is in good shape and may not be replaced. Minimal painting required.
Bathroom 2 - Approximately 5 ft x 7 ft, 35 sq. ft. Replace existing full size bathtub, vanity, toilet, mirror, lighting and wall fixtures. Tile is also in good shape and may not be replaced, minimal painting required.
Closet - Reach in 12 x 2.5 ft closet with two track mounted sliding mirrored doors. Replace doors with more modern doors, replace clothes racks with more useful racks. Dependant on cost and budget for closet.
Hi,
two bathrooms (one up and one down)
Keep vanities and probably one of the toilettes since they are pretty new
I want to get rid of my bath tubs replace both with shower booths
I believe it should require new tiles on the walls.
I am looking at minimum cost on the materials.
Thanks,
Looking for a contractor for two bathrooms renovations in a condo in Kitsilano area.
General Job Scope:
1) Re-Tiling Guest Bath bath tube / Master Bathroom shower area
2) Painting in both bathrooms
2) Installing new shower tray in Master Bathroom
3) Installing new fixtures in both bathrooms
4) Installing new toilets in both bathrooms
5) Installing new vanity / mirrors / lighting in both bathrooms
6) Removal of old Vanity, Mirrors, Toilets in both bathrooms
We are looking to start the project in March - April 2012 timing.
Please email for floor plan and set up meeting for estimates.
I have 2 suite/bedroom bathrooms with shower and bathtub, and 1 guest bathroom with just shower and toilette. I want to update the vanity, sink, faucet for all of them.
THey are just out of date in style but I am ok with the layout. One of the bathtubs has a broken faucet (cannot release water) anymore, so that can either be fixed or open to replacing a new bathtub.
There is water damage in the ceiling above my bathtub as well as down the sides of the walls surrounding the tub.
I would like the tub surround (tiled area), as well as the drywalled ceiling above to be ripped out, re-drywalled (cement boarded), water proofed and tiled.
There is a total of 66sqft. cement boarded, waterproofed, and tiled & a total of 20 sqft to be drywalled and finished and painted.
The shower rod re-installed.
All the plumbing will be taken care of so please do not include in estimate.
Thank you!
This is a small project, but I'm looking for someone that is experienced.
Background: was forced into a bath reno after bought this condo and the prior owner left a mess. At that time, we replaced the tub and toilet plus tiled the tub surround. This was 2 years ago. The project was put on hold while I attended school. I'm done now and the loo needs to be wrapped up.
It's a condo in a 30+ year old concrete structure. The piping is newer. The washroom is 5' x 7'6.
Looking for experienced and reliable contractor / company (with appropriate trades) that is insured/bonded and can do this work in the next month or so for me. I'll attach photos if this helps before you come out to see the project.
Outstanding scope requires the installation of:
1) new fan;
2) new & upgraded electrical (shaving) outlet - also needs to be moved up 12"
3) vanity, sink and mirror;
4) light fixtures;
5) approx. 8' w (1 wall plus) x 5' h tile on wall - this is a continuation of the tile design in the photos;
6) tile the floor
7) fix a few tiles that were poorly cut.
I do have most of the supplies, but will purchase rest shortly (if told exactly what to buy re: fan specs etc.).
I look forward to hearing your comments/answering any questions. Thank you for your time!
