David's company Globe Construction, was one of three that I had come in to quote. David's expertise in closely matching what the engineer said later, and, the fact that he has a carpentry background added to the very professional quote with full information on steps, pricing, and warranty. I proceeded, and, was very happy with the work. A sagging roof is a major problem, and, the sag was over an extension (add-on) where the roof lines from the extension did not match. Globe's crew did a great job on the rafters (I was up on the roof to inspect) and carpentry, patiently answered all my questions, and, then completed the roofing work by replacing the playwood and shingles to a perfect match and roof line. The job was completed as projected, in 3 days, and, I am very happy with the work. 5 stars on all fronts.

We hired Globe this summer to take on multiple renovations in our new home before moving in - finishing the basement (including adding a 3-piece bathroom), completely redoing our ensuite bathroom, refinishing the hardwood floors, and adding floor-to-ceiling stone on our fireplace wall. We were very nervous going into this project but in the end couldn't be happier with our choice.
Despite a relatively tight timeline everything was delivered on time and within budget. The renovated areas look great and we have received tons of compliments on the work. David and Shawnelle are very professional and a pleasure to deal with. As one would expect when so much work is done in a short time frame, there have been a couple of minor issues since we moved in. However, these have all been resolved in a timely manner. There is a 2 year warranty on all workmanship. Overall, we are very happy and would certainly hire this company again for future renovations and recommend them to anyone else looking to renovate. I will keep this review up-to-date and will shortly post pictures of the completed work as well.

Globe is awesome. He brought to the table his vast experience in wood framed construction which benefited the building of the Sales Centre.
When the design wasn't working he brought to the table solutions, not questions.
He met with all parties to make sure that what they wanted in the building was what they were going to get.

Reply From Globe Custom ConstructionHello Peter, First of all, you were paid 50%, however, it is an unfortunate circumstance we find ourselves in and that you have resorted to this. Unfortunately we have not been paid by the General Contractor, partially due to the fact that almost all of the windows are not evenly set, jamb extension to finished drywall. We have spent numerous days fixing this and probably more than what you were paid to set them in the first place. We, as previous mentioned, will pay the balance no questions about it, once they approve all windows as acceptable. We can forward the deficiency lists if you would like the proof. Best, David
