Unprofessional, cancelled appointments repeatedly. When they finally showed up, they told me they would charge me $120 for the visit but would waived if I repaired through them. Diagnosed the problem as a bad element on my cooktop, 600$ for the part and $400 labour. I agreed like a dummy. Charged me 70% upfront and only took debit (red flag!). Took 3 months to get back to me with an appointment. Came back and replaced the part and SURPRISE, it was still broken with the same issue. Told me they had to take the whole cooktop into their lab. Left me without a stove for over a month only to call me back and say they couldn't find the part and I was basically out of luck. No refunds for no work done and would not refund the $600 part that was unneeded. Then took a couple weeks to show up to return the cooktop. So I ended up out $700, went without a stove for months and ended up in the exact same place I started with. Any other reputable company would have told me up front vs randomly replacing expensive parts. Completely inept and unprofessional. I will never hire them again and will go out of my way to warn others. Thinking about taking them to small claims court.
I asked for a quote on repair. Was told it’s not the door that’s leaking but underneath. I said are you sure because if it’s the door I’ll just buy a new dishwasher. They said they were certain but if it leaks again. You might need a new door. Two days later it flooded my kitchen. Do not use this service. They billed $327.70 for less than an hours work. No parts. Assured me it wasn’t what I thought it was and no parts required.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. They are clearly not a factory authorized or trained service company. Do not waste your money and time with them. They will charge you $90 to show up and do absolutely nothing. Then they will provide a quote for repair... in my case $265 to unplug a refrigerator and defrost it.... i can do that for free THANKS!!!
Then they will have you sign off off saying your accept their terms and conditions despite causing damages. When you do as they ask and send them a picture and description of damages they will tell you that did not receive your email and that emails take time to receive... it was 4 hours BTW and still no email???? Hardly think that is the truth
They show up in plain clothes, in a personal vehicle, an older model sedan with dark tinted windows... Should have been my first clue. Not as advertised on their website showing Uniformed professionals and company branded service vans. Did not even have the foresight to ensure his PIN Pad was charged for the day to make payment seamless and efficient. Very unprofessional.
DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!
I have since made a report to the Better Business Bureau Ontario and encourage anyone else that has experienced similar from this company to do the same.
I was told on the phone that the service charges are $80 if there are repairs the service charges will be deducted from the total the technician worked about 45 minutes
and said it needs a new drain pump and I ask him how much would that cost he said
$409.00. I said I have to think about that. He charged me $280.00=TAX and he only accepts cash or debit this way you cant complain to the credit card company. This not a honest way of doing business. I should of read the questions and answers before I made the call.
Made us pay before service person arrived. Stove was not repaired, misdiagnosed the problem and changed the wrong part, over charged and refused to return to fix the stove.
Called another company and the stove was repaired for a third of the cost.
Terrible experience!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I have been dealing with an on-going situation with The A Team Appliance Repair company regarding my GE refrigerator that still does not work.
The technician came in November and made a quick assessment regarding my freezer and told me it can be fixed with a new evaporator motor fan and he was fully aware there was no model number as he believed he found the right part by searching on a website.
After insisting I pay 50% down in cash or debit before scheduling a date for my refrigerator to be repaired.
A week later the part was installed and the noise was so loud, rumbling, and rattling like a car engine running! In fact, it was louder than before it was fixed! He said the part was faulty or not compatible with the GE refrigerator. He insisted I pay the remaining amount too.
After a second attempt with another part a week later and tried to fix it by gluing pieces “Frankenstein” together the motor.
At this time, the company is stalling and avoiding the issue even though they have my money. I still do not have a working refrigerator, and it's going to be one month since this has started.
I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and customer service with this company. I hope the company will take the responsibility to issue me a refund of the total amount of $766.07 as it stands now, I do not have a working refrigerator and no one is returning my calls or email and no follow up with a resolution.
I wish I read all the bad reviews and the caution report from the Better Business Bureau before I contacted this company.
Please do not contact this company as they clearly have technicians that are uneducated and make assumptions, over inflated prices on labour and parts and take your money! Also, a customer service team that uses the same script with saying we will get back to you in 24-48 hours and no one will follow-up with a refund or resolution.
They diagnosed the problem was the mainboard was not connecting with the drainage. Then he charged me 300 dollars. He wanted cash or debit. This was done so I don’t get my money back. Then he said it was the motor which will cost 900 dollars. I should get my money back because he didn’t diagnose it right. I don’t believe the motor is bad. There is water in the bottom, so there is a drainage problem. We cleaned the dirty water at the bottom before he came. He caused more dirty water at the bottom and didn’t bother to clean it up. He is a scammer.
I made a mistake so don't make the same $300 a guy told me he could fix my issue then I watched him do nothing for 15min. then told me it's actually a part issue that I need to buy the part for $500 after I just pain $300 because he told me he could fix the issue. I called and a lady told me it's my fault that I refused to purchase a part. There people are pure Freud and I wish I had simply researched them first. please please don't let the same thing happen to you.
Asked for dryer to be fixed. Said could fix and would last maybe a year but covered for 30 days. Could not test before left due to compound that needed to set. Paid in good faith over $300. No change in dryer when tried. They will not reimburse. Scam - they provide nothing of value.
Don’t use this company! It is scam! The so called technician showed up and did nothing for the dryer. before he started, he asked $265 for diagnosing and not guarantee to fix it! What a scam! I lost my $80+tax and let the scammer go.
