Do not use this company. A total scam from the word go.
I called them as they offered 24 hour service call. The dryer was not working and we needed it fixed. Shame on me for not checking the reviews first. Like most other complaints the story is the same.
They came in and told me that doing some work on the the Main Board, Rotation System, Drain System and Safety System there was a 95% chance things would be good. I told them go ahead. They did the work and then said that I needed to replace the Inner Tub.
Stupid me I told them to go ahead. No more then 8 to 10 days they said. Finally 44 days later they brought in the part and installed it. Here is the next part of their scam. Told me everything was working good and that I needed to sign for the work and part of that signing was that if things went wrong again I would have to replace the Station Assembly.
They left and I put in a load of clothes. Problem system error. 30 minutes after they left. I called them and was told that I needed to change the System Assembly. No compassion or interest in what they did only wanted to make a buck.
Do yourself a favour run do not even talk to these people unless of course you like to be taken.
On October 12, 2021 booked an appointment for October 13, 2021 for window 11am to 2pm. I was quoted that service $80 and if any repair needed to be done $80 would be included in the repair fee. Waited until 2pm to call back to ask where a representative was, they mentioned they tried to get in touch with me to move my window to 3pm to 6pm - there was no attempt, I even confirmed what number they called. Finally they were like yes someone is on the way. The technician arrived and stated that for the dishwasher the mother board was no longer working but was fixable. I asked in his expert opinion would it make sense to just buy a new dishwasher instead in investing in a diagnose and repair of $250.00. He stated that he could fix it and it would be too expensive to buy a new dishwasher at $700.00. I asked him to call me back if a part needed to be included. I did not recieve a call back and total cams to $333 plus $395 additional for a part. My tenant stated that it was still not working. So I called the main line to get an understanding of the technical JP's comments. They basically told me that's the service and too bad. So I'm cautioning any individual to use another company before using this one as their business lacks integrity. Just look at the Better Business Bureau raring. They don't even care to answer the requests.
Extremely shady business and techniques used. Gave an initial quote of $80 to come look at the washer's lid which was not opening up. But, on turning up, the quote immediately went up to $290 citing timing issues with the washer.
The guy who turned up even tried to use scare tactics saying that the washer needs an expensive part for it to function properly. A quick survey after he left confirmed that all he did was open up the washer and clean it up a little on the inside. He was quoting $550 plus taxes for the part replacement and mentioned the lid will not open until the repairs are conducted. I mentioned I rather buy a new washer and then he chose to deter me by claiming a new washer would be above $2000. I mean who does this.
This business should be flagged and red listed.
I have an LG fridge, the bottom Freezer works and the ice maker works but the fridge part is not cooking.I called in one company and he did a check of cooling system but the fan was not coming on.After taking a look at the main board in the back he said the board was gone....That cost me $220 + $180 for the board I had ordered and installed myself....This guy came to my house 5 times...
Then I called these crooks and the guy showed up I told him what had been done..Instead of the $80 charge he said he could fix it for $316 tax in.....All he did was hit the reset bottom on the main board, and the fan came on...He then told me it was fixed but if he had to come back it would cost an extra $780 for a fan and a tower assembly located inside the fridge...Then he almost ran out of my house...
This company should have the BBB review their business practices....they are a bunch of scammers....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
I phoned “The A Team Appliance repair” company service to request a repair of the leak of my dishwasher. I was informed that the service call would cost $80.00 and that the tech would discuss the cost details when he arrived. When on site, the tech took about 5 minutes to look at the machine, told me that it would cost $248.50 (tax included) to fix it.
After about an hour of work, the tech tried to start the dishwasher but despite the power was on the machine did not run and tech stated that the main board is broken.
We did argue that before this “repair” started the appliance was working properly just leaking and after “repair” we can’t even check if the leak was fixed.
It looks like we paid money to “The A Team Appliance repair” company
to damage our dishwasher even more and leave us without working appliance.
We have called the company 2 times in the last 2 weeks without any intelligible answer.
You pay $80 to see his face at ur door I feel it as robbed for $300 he did nothing took my money first and told me u need to change the pump need to buy it pump cost only 85$ they asked me for $549.00.

Awful services the worst repair company I’ve ever had to deal with. Like many others I regret not reading the reviews. This guy sounded very respectful, he checked the washing machine and told me it needs three parts, he ordered three parts and didn’t show up for 3 weeks, I had to follow up with them to find out what’s happening. Finally when he came came to install the new parts he asked what parts needed to be installed in which I was kind of alarmed, and then he claims there is only two parts that need to be installed instead of three. He also said that there is a thirty-day warranty if anything goes wrong. After it was supposedly “fixed” the washer exploded causing a major leek downstairs through the basement.
I contacted them back again they claimed that he thinks he we need to order another cold water valve which I already paid for the first time, and denied the 30 days service warranty. This company should only belong in prison, hope there comes a time where they get back their karma.
I will not recommend this company. The technician had no company ID & have challenging behaviour. Shaw completed the assessment for gas stove (KitchenAid -Superna) for today (Sept23/21) at 1600.
It was quoted $1200.00 + &280.00 installation . I told him I can't afford the replacement cost & labor fee.
I requested Shawn to put proper information in the receipt that I am paying $90.00 dollars for his assessment of the gas range. The receipt's note $90.00 dollar was written as " Customer refuse service. I verbally asked technician Shawn his name 5 times because the signature on the receipt was scribble.
I verbally expressed to technician Shawn that " I am very unhappy to his service". Technician Shawn responded "me too".
I immediately called Ms. Mercedes P. to expressed my concerned about their technician who visited my house. Ms Mercedes assured me that compliant will be submitted to the company. This company's technician should be reported to Canada Consumer Ministry to protect the community to this unprofessional people. My complaint will be send to the Consumer office.
This company takes advantage of customers ignorant of how appliances work by recommending highest possible cost solutions, and then provides terrible follow-up when their supposed solution was not the correct one.
I have never experienced such incompetent, unhelpful, unsatisfactory service.
Terrible service. They came out to do a repair and took cash for a part that was claimed. They estimated 2-7 days and then we heard nothing for three weeks despite several phone calls. The people who answer the phones have no ability to do anything to help and do not seem to care at all.

Wish I had read the reviews. Dishonest about diagnostics. Guaranteed to fix problem for 327. After service completed, said i will need a pump in future. Ran cycle and water not draining. Called back and won’t send out a technician. Said I need a new pump at 600. Have a hard time believing they didn’t know this at time of quote for service especially when guy said he has a lot of issues w pumps for my Bosch model. Don’t waste your time!

A so called "technician" came to fix a dishwasher..he literally opened up the dishwasher door for 30 seconds, closed it again and said "Nope...you need a new one!!!" They wanted their payment ahead of the visit!!! Don't get duped (the way we did!!!) Asked for their technician's "Appliance Service Technician's Certificate of Qualification"...no surprise....he doesn't have one!!!!! Reporting to the Ministry!!!!
This company is dishonest with the cost of the repairs. Do not trust them. Their customer service team is absolutely useless and refuses to let you speak to anyone in a position of authority. They are an absolute disaster to deal with. Go elsewhere cause you will pay for “diagnostic” service not a repair.
They came in today and we confirmed that they charge $80 for the visit and then estimate the work. If I decide to continue, they would provide with parts and labour in accordance to their quote. The quote turned out to be too high and a wait time to get the parts, so I agreed to pay for the visit only as agreed; however they demanded payment for the labour over $300 and when I refused, turned the machine into a mess and left. My next step is BBB. Please be mindful with who you deal with and read reviews!!!
When I called to request someone to look at my machine which is showing code of OE- meaning a drain issue. Person came. 80$ just to come in the house. Said it would cost $295 bc it is the control Center causing the machine not to drain the water. As the machine is about 10 years old I wasn’t sure I should repair it or not. After a bit of deliberating I decided ok I will repair it. Had to pay up front. He drained the water and said he reset the controls. All of a sudden he changed he ways and said I needed a new drain pump. Another 500.$. He needed to order the part so we have time to think about this. In the Mean time I have paid 315$ and my machine is not working. This is highway robbery. Looked up the part number for a new drain pump it is 87.95$. Do not use this company !!!!! Very dishonest.
These clowns came to fix my washer which was only 1.5 years old and wasn't draining water from the inside drum as I could hear water sloshing around, but couldn't see any. I was charged $585 for a new pump. I asked to keep the old pump, paid, and the guy left. I ran a wash and I could still hear water in the drum when I spun it by hand after taking the clothes out. (btw, the clothes were not soaking wet. They were damp as usual). Clearly, they didn't fix the issue so I called them and they said there is supposed to be water inside the drum frame. It's there to help with vibration or something. Google says, "The water you hear sloshing around is actually used as ballast to stabilize the washer's spin cycle." So why did they charge me for a new pump??? This company is a scam and will rip you off!!! Stay away and get a real repair company to help you. I later had my old pump tested by a friend and he confirmed it was working properly and these pumps sell for less than $100.
Life lesson, NEVER blindly sign papers and shake hands with a two faced company before doing your research.

SCAM - go search listings and reviews for Appliance Repair Team or Gold Standard - this is just a fake listing posted by them. They've tried to disable and block reviews on yellow pages and as much as possible on google. I realized that the repair appliance company I used is part of a chain businesses operating under different names and fake goggle listings/ads who have been scamming consumers owned by Idan (Dan) Vidoser and Chen Kochavi, already covered by CBC Marketplace and the Toronto Star but complaints need to be made to Ontario Consumer Protection to stop allowing them to continue to operate with new online domain names and failing the government's responsibility to better regulate and shut them down
I was unfortunately a victim of their service. In a desperate situation to fix the stove I use for my catering biz, I called. They sent a technician immediately, asked me to pay over 500 to repair. Within a few days , not even a week, it no longer worked so. I called back multiple times and kept getting lied to from that point forward. The first 6 to 8 times I kept getting told it would be forwarded onto the appropriate department and someone will get back to me. NOBODY EVER GETS BACK TO ME - ITS JUST A TACTIC TO AVOID ACTUALLY HAVING TO DELIVER THE SERVICE I GAVE MONEY FOR. Finally, after well over a month, after having to followup and call again, they sent the technician back to inspect and was told a new part would have to be reordered. After more weeks, I called to follow up and was now informed in fact there was already received a new part from the warranty company (yet nobody informed us), and will come replace it. On the day of the appointment, I get a call the technicians car broke down but someone will call back that day to rebook. Noone does, I call back the 1800 number is now out of service. I track them down, unraveling a labyrinth of multiple company operating names and websites, and get another 'appointment'. The morning of, yet another call to say the technician is off sick and will be rescheduling but unable to confirm when. The next day, someone calls us to say actually they haven't received the part even though 3 other seperate people at the company told us the part was there and kept making (fake/ delaying tactic) appointments. They have repeatedly refused our requests to refund us if they cannot in fact do a repair, or assign another technician to come and prioritize making this appointment- clearly, that is the scam/ business model based on the yelp and better business reviews I have now researched is to send out technicians to unwitting victims, scam them of the $80 inspection and if anyone actually follows through to get a repair, they are basically swindling a customer of a lot more money for a service they do not seem to provide and don't really intend to. The "manager" Laura is clearly indifferent and ambivalent, took zero responsibility for their service and refused to provide their full name, offical job title and written confirmation of her agreement to rebook an appointment. If you have had any contact with them, report them as a claim through consumer protection and also take further legal action as necessary to resolve this.

Shame on GE for recommending them to us. $80 to show up and look at the appliance, $280 to get their opinion of what is wrong but no guarantee that it’s fixable, that a part isn’t required or that the part is even available. It could have easily got into more than a new dishwasher and you still owe them money even if they can’t fix it. Look elsewhere for profession honest service!
This is perhaps my worst experience in trust. They told me they could fix my oven. They promised me three days. It now has been ten days and no service. The girls at customer service are Rude. This service should be shut down by the police. These guys are crooks. Dishonest. Unprofessional, disgusting behaviour. They will mot pass you on to the owners. It is truly shocking in this day of age you see such criminal behaviour.
City line or the newspapers ought to do a report on these crooks. Hundreds of innocent trusting customers are being robbed. will i ever get my money back? Will I ever see a technician again? BEWARE--Better Business Bureau rates them F. They broke our dishwasher buttons on a second visit, then wanted to sell us the parts they broke! Wouldn't offer a refund beyond $150 when they caused $1750 worth of damage.Dishonest, evasive, unethical, and interested in extracting more $ from customers, not in fixing the problems they create.
These guys are true scammers.....Tech advises $80 then $317.40 for all labour costs and if they neec a part only will get charged for part.....BS!!! Find out part they wat will cost me almost $700 and part is only $158??? When I called to complain that is also for warranty and install which I advised tech did not communicate this and said the $300 would cover diagnosis and labour to fix issue and parts are seperate. So stay away as these are true con artists and know why they only accept cash or etransfer as you can duspute credit card transactioms to get money back.
This company is a scam they sent a tech that did not know what he was doing long story short $ 300 later washing machine still doesn’t work. Called marissa she was so rude and read an invoice to me when I asked for a refund. Do not hire pls listen to these reviews. I wish I had read these before hiring this scam of a business. I have gotten other appliaces fixed but never with this negative experience and rudeness and felt scammed.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company makes their money by stealing from you. Company sent a so called technician who was not qualified. I told home the blower fan was making a rattling noise. When the fan stopped working the temperature inside the refrigerator got warm and the cooling coils frosted over. I had to show him how to remove coverings to get to the internal parts. All he did was thaw the coils and say that the control board needed replacing. Seems to be the only diagnostics they know and wanted over $500 for the part. The company will not send technician back unless I agree to the replacement parts. Even if they are not defective.
Please let everyone know about this fraudulent company. Best advice is to use the brands factory trained service technician. It may cost more but they will actually fix it right and parts are reasonable.

My refridgerator died after a power outage. Called The A Team (should have looked at their reviews before) to repair. They quoted me $295 labour, which took them LESS THAN ONE HOUR to fix. Did not tell me the cost of the part until AFTER it was installed and work completed - $725 !!! Checked the "retail" cost of the part next day - $275 delivered !!
What a rip-off !! Called CS to complain, was basically told 'your fridge is working isn't it" and nothing can be done.

My Samsung dryer stopped working, so we called The A Team Appliance Repair. First, the tech had no idea what he was doing, second, the repair that didn't work cost over $500. We have more screws now than we did when he reassembled the dryer. The part that was replaced costs $10 on Amazon. The dryer still isn't working properly. The A Team states they have a one year warranty. It has been almost 2 weeks and they still have not returned our call to come back and actually repair the machine. Run, don't ever use this company, find someone else.
The A Team Appliance Repair company is 100% scam. Similar to the other reviews they came and checked out the stove. I paid for the service call which is fine, but then over the period of 9 months with over 25 calls to the service and parts department plus putting a deposit down on parts with the understanding that they would come a repair the stove they failed to hold up their end of the agreement. A few notable phone calls:
1 - I will call you right back once I hear from my parts department
2 - the parts department is closed today but I have submitted your file and they will call you back when they have an update to the part.
3 - parts are on back order
to finally as part of the refund process
4 - we will received the parts so when we do we will need to ship it back to the company so we need to charge you a restocking fee ...
and the comments go on.
So disappointed that this is how business is done in this day and age. Scammers, dishonest and the company commends their employees to also carry the company line and defraud their customers.

I made the mistake of not looking at reviews before asking them to 'fix' my dryer. It seems they did to me what they have done to others (from what I've read in reviews). First they ask for cash or debit only (so you can't appeal to your credit card company for a refund for services not rendered), then they say you need a part (for us total $1000) and suggest that it is cheaper than buying a new appliance and you will get more life out of it, then it will break down because it's not actually the repair it needed, or it needs another repair and they suggest you pay them more to 'try' again (in our case another $1000). Total scam. Terrible people. The manager 'offered' me 20% off the second part!!! Great, so I spend just under $2000 (with her 'discount') to 'fix' an appliance when I could have bought a new appliance. No thank you. Disgusting.
SCAM!!!!!!!!!! If I can give zero stars I would. This company needs to be banned from doing business in Ontario. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY USE REFURBISHED PARTS CHARGED AS NEW. The rep on the phone says the initial consultation is $80, but that turns into $280 + tax when they come. Parts are also SUBSTANTIALLY OVERPRICED. They took 2 months to come from the initial consultation (and already taking $900 to fix my microwave and oven), and they installed a faulty and severely scratched screen. They expected to be paid in full for a job that was not completed, and threatened to take us to court if we didn't pay.
Be aware of this company. My wife called this company come to fix our refrigerator ( 1 year old), the lady on the phone told us 80$ for someone come out and check if we go with there service then will deduct the 80$. We agreed. when the guy came and he said my control panel inside have a problem if ok for him to open and see his fee is 200$ labour cost plus material. Then we ok with that, he asked me to signed without filling the number in. After he told me the control panel are dead i need to change it and cost 420$ plus tax, i was shock when i hear that immediately he said he can do 50$ off. then i still said No i dont want it after he knows i found the parts online for only 220$ and not buy the parts from him, so he filled up the labour cost total os 280$ plus tax and he immediately said he told me 280$ and the number was there when i sign. its a lie.which is ripped people off for a 15mns of work. and he is so rude, unprofessional guy he doesn’t care about company he told us he just a worker.
The technician came in and spend less than 2 mins looking at the back of the fridge and barely checked anything. He then billed us for several items checked which wasn’t true. He didn’t even test anything to see if it’s getting power or not. He then quote us for parts so we asked about timeline and was told 2 days max. We then ask him to call his office to double check if the parts of available before we give him the go ahead or we will go with someone else that can provide it sooner. He called and confirmed 2 days with his office. Parts took over 2 weeks because it wasn’t in stock. After the parts arrived and was installed, we were quoted again for other parts that was apparently not checked so we waited another week and a half. All without having a fridge.
They lied about timelines to keep the customer and the technician didn’t do a proper assessment but billed us for a full assessments done. Avoid them if you can...
I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with the customer service and the overall experience in the contract repairing of my dishwasher. They have now come out seven different occasions to try to figure out what's wrong with it continuing to replace parts that do not replacement.

It is now Wednesday and now they tell me they have to do more service to it buy adding new parts, more $$$, they did not even come by the second time to review and determine, just over the phone.

The technician wouldn't wear a mask from the start. I kept my distance as I'm 70 years old and wasn't vaccinated yet. The technician told me my washer needed a new pump and switches as well as a new logic board. He made me sign a work order for the above mentioned services plus draining the machine as I had clothes and water stuck in the drum total: 295 + tax. He told me after I signed that I needed to remove the water and left my home. I took all the water and clothing out with a cup and small bucket, the technician returned after 30 minutes. I demanded that he put his mask on properly and remove the draining fee from the invoice so he packed up and left - taking my screws from the machine and left it unassembled. I had a new company come in the next day and they said that just the door lock was broken and replaced it for 150 dollars with part and labour included. I still have to go get new screws to secure the panels of the machine together, the A TEAM is definitely not an A team - their management hasn't called back and they refuse to take responsibility for the technician they sent.
This company is strictly a SCAM!!!! Please people be aware and do not even call them! There have been many news reports about them, they use a variation of different company names. They come out and write this bogus invoice for labour, all of them look similar, every microwave the “megaton” is broken then say they can’t fix it there and have to bring to their laboratory...charge another $500 on top of the $200 for labour. Call you a couple days later while they have your product and say they can’t fix it and now will cost $78 to deliver it back to you. So you pay, nothing gets fixed and they hold ur property until you pay more to deliver it back.
It’s horrible what they are doing to people and have been doing it for so long to so many people I cannot believe they have not been shut down! We need more put into companies like this being investigated and shut down for the amount of people they continue to scam.
It was my mistake not to check the reviews online but I called these people from a Google ad and they told me that the service call would cost me $80 for the repair man to be dispatched. I quickly realize the reviews were really bad and called back in five minutes after I confirmed and they said they would have to charge me $80 if I canceled. The repair man came and said that the labour would cost me $280 and then any needed parts would be on top of that as extra. So this would be an unpredictable amount that would be costlier than a new wine fridge that I could buy at $250. We gave up and told the repairman that we didn’t want him to continue and paid up the $80 )plus tax of course) so $90 to him. We learned that this company hires new immigrants who used to be engineers etc in their home countries and pays them $18 an hour for the scam they are running. The repair person seemed aware of the untrustworthiness of their company and seemed uneasy. The one time o didn’t read reviews cost me $90 for nothing. This company should be out of business.
Microwave repair - $271 for 45 minute investigation. Told me it would be $600 for a magnetron which I found on line for $169-200. Would be a $900 repair.

Total scam artists! They misdiagnose, charge the customers and leave the customers with nothing fixed! My father called them to fix his fridge. They told them they would charge $80 for a diagnostic. They misdiagnosed and charged $300 and asked to call back if the fridge didnt cool in 6 hours. The fridge wasn't working. We called back but they refused to fix it as they claim its another issue. He paid them to fix what they stated was the problem but his fridge is still not working. Terrible customer service no integrity!
