VIP Renovation

I heard about VIP through a family member who suggested we use them. I'm glad we did as the renovations are fantastic. They installed a new hardwood floor in the front hall and removed a wall to increase the size of our dining room.

Bob showed us that the flooring had a promotion from the manufacturer which allowed us to stay under budget. The wall removal has made our house feel much more open and more well suited to entertaining. The work area remained clean during and after the renovations were completed. My family is very impressed with the service and quality of work offered by VIP.

Bob and Ogi were well organized and structured. They arrived on time and completed the renovations according to plan and budget. They were also quite knowledgeable in providing me tips for home maintenance and handy work going forward to save money. My place looks great now. The quality of their work was excellent. Thank you gentlemen!

They started off alright in my home renovation project but the poor quality of work really showed in the final few weeks of the project on their finishing touches (photos attached). They try adding extra charges to little obvious things that really should be part of the overall job they are doing, but I didn’t mind that too much but a few things were just unacceptable:

- they redid a part of my kitchen backsplash and new bathroom sink backsplash and left claiming that the job was done, returned my keys and everything without doing the grout! (photo attached).

- the new bathroom door they installed didn’t even close properly, it rubs against the frame

- corners in the newly built bathroom have exposed holes where bugs crawl through! (See photos)

- extremely poor finishing to the walls they built, didn’t sand them properly as a result they are rough and uneven even though they claim it’s ‘ready to be painted’

- installed new doors for me, no caulking around the doors

- caulked around my tiles, bath spout and made a complete mess. Now it’s hard to even take it off and redo.

- no silicone/caulking around bathroom sink, uncut toilet bolts

I could go on and on... all this after getting some of the more major issues fixed. And FYI Bob is very unaccepting of any feedback so if you point out any of this, he gets really offended and pissed! Overall regretting hiring these guys big time!

Of course I reached out to them about the poor work and some of the missing things and they mentioned how the missing things ‘were not discussed initially’ and apparently I should’ve been more clear with my asks to make my $20,000+ bathroom look half decent!!

I recently selected VIP Renovations to remove carpeting and baseboards and replace with new lamilate flooring underlay wooden baseboards and quarterround in my condo. Right from the beginning the whole project went well because they had the equipment knowledge and skills to do the job in a very effective timeline. They were able to complete my renovation in 2 days. I am very pleased with how everything turned out and would recommend using this contractor in the future.

Bob and Oggie did an amazing job. They are true professionals and experts. I would recommend them to anyone as not only did they do an amazing job but they are also great people and you can really trust them. I am super happy with their work and have all ready recommended them to friends and family. You will not be disappointed by VIP

We were very impressed with the work VIP Renovations did to install our basement bathroom. They went out of their way to ensure the walls and floor were straight and the corners were square at no additional cost to us. As a result the shower tiling looks perfect.

Their estimate broke down their quote to specify the prices allowed for the various components (sink, tiles, faucets, etc.). We purchased our own components for most items and they deducted their price from the bill.

We have no qualms about using VIP Renovations again for any additional renovations.

Bob & his team went “above and beyond” to ensure a professional quality job and seamless finished look while working with uneven floors and a problematic tongue and groove laminate product. The price was more than fair given that the installation ended up taking longer than anticipated. Despite the extra labour and frustrations with our floors and the product, Bob and his team persevered to complete the job and remained consistently polite and optimistic throughout the whole arduous process. In contrast to some other contractors we’ve hired in the past, we felt confident and assured that the installation would be done to Bob’s exacting high standards. Bob was honest, direct and such a pleasure to deal with that we opted to pay him a little more than his quoted cost to compensate for the additional time spent on our job.

We have plans for more renovations and will definitely consult with Bob/VIP Renovations as we feel we can trust in his honesty, advice and guidance for our future projects and that his experience, skill and expertise will yield beautiful results.

Bob is a great contractor. He created a brand new powder room that is functional and has a great aesthetic appeal. The price was fair and was the best in the market. It was my first project as a home owner and I never felt uneasy during the whole process. The communication was very clear and Bob was very quick to respond to any questions I had. He bought and used top quality material and made no compromises. Building trust in Bob and his team was very easy. The project was completed in a timely manner as was agreed at the start of the project. Based on the work that was completed and the knowledge base that Bob has, we are already planning to work on another project with him. I would highly recommend Bob.

Bob made our basement renovation project a stress free experience. Communication with Bob was very easy and a high level of trust was established from day one. He or someone from his company was onsite every day and put a lot of focus and energy to turn our basement into a nice liveable space. We had a very positive experience with Bob and he is our first choice for any future renovation projects.

When we started thinking about the project we had something completely different in mind, but after we talked to Bob and reviewed his ideas we decided to build a deck as he suggested. And we are glad that we did.

Our deck and the entire house looks great. The deck is sturdy, beautiful, functional and it didn't cost us a fortune.

VIP Renovations delivered what they promised. Actually they exceeded our expectations.

We will be working with VIP Renovations again - we are planning to do some work on the facade of our house.

Bob and Fred from VIP Renovations did a very good job and updated our second bathroom and powder room at our Townhome. While doing the project, they ran into a lot of unexpected surprises. They never complained but drove to the nearest RONA and got the supplies. Ours ,being a townhome, has multiple levels and involved lot of running up and down, but still they were always cheerful and never complained of the extra work. They did not change their estimate due to the extra surprises either. I highly recommend this company and you will want to hire them again for all your reno projects.

I've been to many contractors but these are guys are truly amazing. I had to get my carpets replaced and laminate floors installed. I talked with Bob of VIP Renovations, he not only gave me a free estimate but the price was clearly fair and honest. I really had to communicate well with a contractor since I live in a condo building that requires a lot of paperwork for renovating. Bob always replied quickly and always providing me with all the information I needed. He was very respectful and always provided me with receipts on materials that needed to be bought. He did a fantastic job with the floors, and I wouldn't go to any other contractor unless it's with Bob and VIP Renovations.

Main floor bathroom with freestanding tub and flooting vanity, basement bathroom, large shower and floating vanity. Previously, bathrooms were cramped and old, new larger window made free standing tub look amazing, that bathroom is our showroom spa. Basement bathroom was redone with lots of space for lockers. Both bathrooms are now higher and larger with nice adjustable pot lights. Excellent to deal with, professional, great job!!!

We had Bob and his team renovate our kitchen...floors, backsplash, remove a wall, add a wall extension, install new IKEA cabinets, extractor fan and slide in stove.

Kitchen is small 8x9 but had many challenges that Bob was able to overcome.

His advise saved us alot of money along the way, and he was very nice person to be around...even did a great job babysitting our 10 month old...

I will reccomend him to my friends for sure.

I had Bob remove, repair and instal some closets. He worked extrememly hard and had good intentions. The end result is average. Perhaps my expectations were too high....We did encounter something unexpected which was resolved..

I got quotes for my kitchen renovation from a few contractors and V.I.P were by no means the cheapest. However, I went with V.I.P because of the hours of attention given to my project even before I had made up my mind to go with them, and I went with my gut feeling about their suitability. I was not disappointed with my decision. The painstaking attention to detail and precision that both Rod and Bob took was excellent. I was also given sound advice on reno ideas besides my kitchen project, and more was done for my kitchen than was originally estimated in the project. I would definitely recommend V.I.P for any job around the house.

VIP renovation finished my basement floor & bathroom and did an excellent job. They met all my expectations and even exceeded some. They finished on time and on budget. I recently ran into some troubles with a contractor while renovating my home. I needed to have my main bathroom renovated so i hired Vip Renovations. Bob is the best contractor i've meet in my entire life and was a god sent. He was always on time and never took a short cut to any problems. My home is 40 years old and none of the walls were 90 degrees and the floors were so uneven you will not imagine. My walls are now 90 degrees and my floors are perfect. I spend most of my time in the bathroom just sitting and admiring the job. At the end of the project i cried (with joy). In short, if anyone is considering doing a renovation look no further Vip Renovations with treat your home like their own. They always cleaned up at the end of the day so my house just look like a genie visited while i was at work. I will recommend them to everyone i know and if you're considering doing business with them my bathroom is open for reference viewing.

The company is very professional and proficient. The job was done impeccably well and on time. It was also just under the initial estimate. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a professional contractor who knows what he is doing.

vi[p Renovations did an absolutely outstanding job on my bathroom. They took the time to understand what I wanted and delivered precisely that. They never cut corners and did not do things "on the cheap." They are high class and high quality. Finally a contractor who listens! It was more than a pleasure meeting and working alongside these two gentleman. bob completely turned a dark, dismal basement into a bright, wonderful living space with a spacious and full functioning bathroom. They ALWAYS arrived on time, which was usually early in the morning. They completed a good day's work and often stayed past normal hours to finish what they had started. They set reasonable goals and never, ever made us feel like we didn't have a say in what was going on. They stayed right on budget and went beyond to make sure that every little thing was done perfect. Even coming in on a Sunday to ensure the rooms were ready for painting the next day. They were not only professional, punctual, but they were friendly and so respectful of our property.again?.....

Overall the job was well done but there is still an issue and this company has not responded to my many e-mails.

The job took longer than I expected and they made quite a mess in the house since they did not have adequate equipment for disposal of the rubble
