Looking for a builder - I think?

We would like to build a two storey attached garage. We live in the city - and need a builder familiar with city requirements , have spent considerable time talking with people to recommend architects, builders ect, getting no where, surfed the net for endless hours also resulting in zip. Where do we begin ?

Should start with submitting plans to the city for permits. Thats where you need to start as you will need permits. Your city has a inspectors office you can speak with ovdr your proposal and get a idea of your local codes over such a build. They would have a idea of ground surveys done in your area when the initial permits were issued at the time your home and area was built .
Have to start somewhere . A contractor can do all this for you , from submission of plans drawn up from there company to finish .
