Hi people my name is Phil and i am wondering if anyone is having the same problem i am ? i used to get alot of renovation jobs but now it has all slowed down and i mean slowed down ... now homeowners are looking for the cheapest contractors around and people are not even giving me a chance anymore ,,, i feel like i am getting online a bunch of cheap skates and people that just don't want to pay anymore ??? is this happening just to me or everyone else too ... i know economy has been down lately as everyone says to me anyways but it has gone up lately ... i used to get alot of leads but now nothing at all ... i advertise like crazy everywhere ... not sure what to do anymore ,,, anyone have any ideas of what i can do to make my business up again ???

I have been very busy Phil- it's now getting to a point where I will have to start turning down work or people will have to wait- which most do not seem to mind as all this work coming in is referrals/repeat clients. The online thing has not worked at all as all the advertising & leads go nowhere. there seems to be a lot of work out there- I believe people are just a little nervous. Some say the recession is all but over, but I think it's just getting started & things will slow eventually. Good luck Phil.

Hi Bill its Phil things have picked up again but still homeowners are always looking for cheaper contractors not knowing that sometimes going cheap is not always good ... anyways if u ever have extra work on ur hand and can't do it send some over i will give u a finders fee if i get the jobs ???? another thing i find are turnoffs for homeowners is that i do not include materials in my prices ,,, email me Bill at lptambur@sympatico.ca ,,,, i do get jobs but then it all slows down again and i have to look for a contractor to work with ... i would like to get jobs on my own business but its always hard ...
