Wondering what percentage of quotes you expect to close from a non referral job.
Are there things you've done to change those percentages? (except drop your price!)

5-10% on cold calls, 50-75% on referrals.
Not a lot I can do really, I found clients that expected their 5'x10' bathrooms to look like the picture in a catalog of a 200+ sq ft bathroom. Or colour blind customers that insisted on horrible colours. Or unrealistic time frames. Unless it's on a TV show there's no glamour. In our line of work to most customers a contractor is a glorified handyman that unlike those with office jobs has the time to do what clients themselves would otherwise do for the cost of the materials.
