Radon gas

I am trying to find out how much has the question of fixing a radon gas problem come up for contractors in northern BC? As we at Northern Health are trying to raise awareness and get people to test their homes for radon gas, many people are finding they have high levels but no contractor has the knowledge to fix it. I am trying to get an understanding of how whether the home/basement renovations industry is connected to this issue.
