I would like to convert my cold room to a dry storage room where I can store suitcases, Christmas decorations, winter boots, etc and I would like to know if it is possible to do.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Yes you can, as long as the area is moisture free. All you need to do is frame, insulate and vapour barrier, then drywall.
Hi Simona,
Vince is somewhat right, however, you need to provide some sort of ventilation. The space needs to breath or it will become mouldy over time because of lack of air movement.
Hello,
Jason Turner from wrap-it systems. A great and cheep product to use would be a Durofoam insulation with treated 2x4 stud's. And to finish I would use a moisture board dry wall.
Could you let me know the cost for just ventilating the coldroom? That is, drilling a hole on the cold room walls to be able to run a vent for heating and cooling of the cold room.
Thanks very much!
