Remodeling my laundry room and removed a cabinet from the wall that had undercabinet lighting attached to it.
Now that the cabinet is removed I have no need for the lighting (there's a large white wire that powers that light from a hole in the wall).
How easy would it be to convert this into an electrical outlet? Preferably one that will be used for a washing machine?
Or should I get an electrician to do it? If so, how much would something like this cost?
You need to contact electrician to convert and wire for a washing machine $200-$400
Hi ,
Your load should be calculated before making any plan . For dishwasher ,it's recommended to have dedicated 15 amp CCT from your panel.the cost would be $250-$400 and it depends on few things For safety ,please get a certified electrician to do the job for you as small mistake can cause a big fire .
You can go on ESA website and find a certified contractor near your place to take look at it .
Regard ,
Please contact an trusted Pro electrician in your area. I would assume it would not cost more than $300 approximately. Jeff with all in renovations
