Cost for addition and renovation - Waterloo

I am looking for a rough estimate on the cost of a two story addition (roughly 450 sq feet total) on an older brick home where I would like to continue the brick on the addition. In the addition there would be an ensuite above (so plumbing would be necessary). Below would just be a dining area expansion with sliding door.

Thanks!

I strongly recommend you calling a local trusted Pro contractor to arrange meeting where he can give you a price for your addition and renovation. Ball parking a job like that is like picking numbers out of the air. Without all details as well as blueprints Structural Engineering drawings Etc

Hello Christine, there is alot to plane for in a job like this such as planing codes in your area so if its a two storey add on it will be SQ FT of both floors 450=900sqft it would be hard to say with out blueprints. Newer home are around $325sqft and up but since you are doing an add on ,it could jump up quite high if $60,000-80,000 so be carefull on your budget. let say you have $100,000 to spend do not tell contrator that, then make sure you put aside $20,000 you will need that for surel. If you have any more question let me know. do your homework it will pay off,Cheers TEE
