Cost for Basement bedroom.

hi, my basement is currently unfinished, I would like to just build a bedroom. Approx 9x10. How much would this cost? This wouldn't include plumbing, only the bedroom. This is also a new build home.

Hi.

If this is new house you should wait for minimum one year. This is for tarion insurance. If there is any defects like leaking basement, crack or etc they will pay for repair.

Rough estimate... 5k-7k

Need to insulate, vapour barrier and drywall perimeter walls. Insulate and drywall interior walls and ceiling. run electrical 4 plugs, light(s) and switch. Run hvac into the room. Flooring (carpet is comfy). Paint.

There are so many options and levels of "finish" even for a bedroom.

Framing and drywall and basic flooring will run 2 to 4k. Electrical, closet organizers, ceiling finish, and size can at 1 to 3k more. You have so many choices for even the simplest rooms.
