Hey guys,
Anyone know what the labour cost of James hardie products runs at? Looking to get a good idea of cost.
Hi Jason,
The cost can depend on different factors and usually estimation is needed...
You can expect to pay 2.5$ to 7$ depending on your considerations
Main consideration would be
Type of Hardie product: There is three main products Hardie is made in Lap, Panel and Shake(lap is least expensive, shake most expensive in installation)
Design: Pattern Design and layout; Trim options, Rain-screen and exterior insulation Applications; are all greatly can influence the cost (standard would be aluminium coil stock)
Site conditions: number of walls, the number of corners, the number of items to side around (vents, taps, power outlets, meters, decks, etc.),number of windows and doors, and the list goes on... (site and wall access, max installation height, repairs and preparation of wall surface, wall substrate(its faster to install on wood then brick or concrete block))
My suggestion would be to measure the wall Area, Chose Hardie Product, a Design and accessories that you have in mind and get these on paper and a contractor on site Each company will consider these in different ways... so get at least Three quotes.
with Best regards,
Vlad
In Vancouver you are looking at a minimum of $10 per sq ft.
$10 per sq' for LABOUR Only?
Not in my experience......Ive been at this for 27yrs, 7 of those spent bidding against the largest Siding contractors in Metro Vancouver, and if I was bidding the labour portion at $10 minimum, I would have lost every single job I ever quoted.....I mean every one.
I'm certaim you misunderstood the question....supply & install would be roughly
$8-16 dependent on a number of qualifiers. New construction SFH vs MFH vs renovations all have their own price ranges.....I never quote a sq' price...ad Vlad mentioned, there are a number of factors that influence price.
