Hi I want to put a gas insert in my wood burning fireplace. I dont know any something which can be done.
I need the cheapest solution which is safe.
Pls help. Any infrmation is welcome.
Hi Ken.
Yes you can install a gas insert into your wood burning fireplace. However, there are a number of factors that would impact the size of the unit. In particular, the existing flue must accomodate a new liner and the size of the liner that would fit is important. Also, the size and condition of the existing firebox would provide insert dimensions. For projects such as this, it is best to arrange for site visit to properly assess the existing condition and from there can provide you with your options and costs.
Hope this helps.
