Is this a good product for front porch? Will it be too slippery in the winter with snow on it?
Yes Trex can be a bit slipper when wet. If traction is a big concern for you, then look into PVC products instead, such as Clubhouse, Wolf, Azek, TivaDek, Veka, etc. Clubhouse is a great Canadian product that has amazing traction!
Thanks,
Shane
Trex has a wood grain built into it, so it has decent grip in the snow / ice. It say it's at par, or even slightly superior to wood.
i agree with shane it could be slippery but pvc as a hire grip to it
Trex comp decking is the best! Thinking of walking on it in the winter? No problem! Put a temporary artificial turf area rug around the area you wish to walk on and there ya go. Heres a link of what it looks like Diane.
