How much to build new home in Maple Ridge?

Does anyone know the approximate per square foot price to build a ~ 2000 square foot home in Maple Ridge? Just the construction of the home, no price for the land.

I know it's very vague question but basically just the quality of what you see normal new homes being built, nothing super luxury nor super low quality.

Thanks

Good morning Ken

Subject to typical lot conditions cost to build 2,000 square feet exclusive of land would likely be between $400,000 to $600,000. includes a typical attached two car garage

We typically recommend a target budget of between $200 to $300 per square foot for custom homes of this size and quality. Finished three season rooms, patios, garages and porches would be factored at a much lower rate.

It has been my experience that design items with the greatest influence on costs are the size and complexity of the overall design, the extent of site works required and the material and finish selection (both outside and in).

Kind regards,

Jim

Hello.

I would agree with Jim's numbers. A 2000 sq foot home would cost approx. 400,000 to 600,00.00. it seems you are leaning towards the 400,000 mark. This will give you everything you need. If you start moving up to extra garages, larger decks, taller ceilings, and so on, this will increase in price.

Thanks for the responses. I was curious since when I google for Vancouver it says $250/square foot but my parents said that's way too much and it should be cheaper in Maple Ridge.

My agent had told me in Coquitlam it's $130/square foot. My parents 20 years built a super custom 3500 square foot home for $80-90/square foot and my parents friend's children build a home in Vancouver 10 years ago for $100/square foot.

Seems like the prices have gone up a lot.

Thanks

$100 if you deal with small company, no greedy middlemen in between :-)

If we are talking 2000 square feet, does this include the basement? (we are looking into building a rancher with a floor plan of about 2000 sf.) if we want a finished basement will the cost to build the home be the cost per square foot times 4000? TIA
