Dug a 3 foot trench in basement for washroom rough in. The next day, after snow melting and some rain, the trench had 1 foot of water in it. After 2 days it drained about 4inches. Is this normal? The trench is close to and exterior wall.

Looks like it's the soil drainage rate and it's going to drain overtime. If it was dry when you dug, it's probably not the water table. It's expected and the drainage time varies depending on the soil type. Thats why it is so important to waterproof the basement properly.
