We hired a concrete contractor this summer. We regrets of hiring this guy. We are very disappointed with his work ethics and created more damage between our property and the neighbour's side. Now, its been more than a week since he last worked in our walkways. He has been asking the other half of the money, but we told him that he needed to fix his mess and complete the work. Also, he damaged our neighbours property (cements all over the walls and gardens). He refuses to clean up and completed his job. Please help us what to do? what action can we do in order for him to fix and clean the mess? who and where can we complains?

Unfortunately you need to fix it your self and clean up the mess and document time and expenses then take him to court and sue them to get your money back

Good morning

Call the bbb and file a complaint. Do not pay anymore money until they fix and clean up the mess and complete the job. You can also take contractor to court in small claims. Take pictures of the mess, damage and unfinished work. Also check to see if contractor has business insurance and WSIB clearance certificate and have them provide you copies. If they don't have insurance or WSIB they can face a fine of up to $25,000. If you can't resolve go to court asap
