We are undertaking an upgrade to our home. The work that we are planning involves sanding/restaining of floors, replacing all the current doors in our home including baseboards and casings and then having the interior painted. What is the best order to do this work?

Replace doors, sand and stain the floor then paint.

Catherine,

I would remove the doors, but not replace them yet. Then do the floors and paint, then replace the doors. It makes it easier to sand and stain if there are no obstacles to get in the way. Also, be sure to cover the floor where you will be painting, you don't want to do a clean-up or have to redo a stain.

Have fun.
