Every little girl lives in a fairy tale storybook world all her own, so why not help her bring that passion and creativity into her actual living environment?
My niece had been bugging her father (my cousin) about having her room look like those in her fairy tale books. She's 4 years old. Any suggestions?
Hi,
Well it depends on the budget that your cousin has. Most "fairy tales" have a castle and are located in the woods somewhere. The bed can become the castle or tower. The walls can be the surface for a woods theme. This can be accomplished by going to the woods and taking photographs. Stand in one spot and do photographs in 360 degrees. These then can be made into wallpaper and adhered to the wall. There are peal and stick flooring with water and grass. You can make a river or moat around the castle (bed). The Castle can be made of mdf and painted.
These are just iedeas to start.
Good Luck

For my daughter's bed my husband made her a bed we found in a magazine. It's a simple bed, with the head board that is a triangle. In the triangle are little cubbies to put things at. We call that the top of her 'castle.' In the cubbies she puts the members of her royal palace, this way they can all sleep with her. Also, I took some scarves and draped them on the sides of the headboard, and the sides of her bed.
