I'm looking to add a 15 x 20 loft above our attached garage, which I believe is mininally framed. Would be an office and a bathroom. It will link to house via updating existing stair.

Approx how much would the whole project cost in Toronto? Only looking for rough estimates right now.

Hello Tim,

It's fine if you want to add a room above your garage if your permit office allows you to but make sure you spray foam the floor with a closed cell spray foam or else you possibly may regret it with a cold room. This project must but be done properly to make a comfortable living space.

As for estimate in cost that can highly vary is the garage suitable for caring the load of a room above the garage and the design of the existing house will also affect the cost.
