Good evening,
I m interested in possibly converting my unused garage into a room as an extension of the house. Right now, it is neither floored nor heated, so it would need insulation, wiring, and drywall, at least. I was thinking of turning the roll-up door end of it into a working fireplace.
Not having done this kind of work, l am not sure what is feasible, let alone the estimated cost. Hence, information about it all would be welcomed.

Hi Alexandra,
The garage interior can be remodellled with new frameing drywall, electrical and heating. Essentially it would have a look of an actual room as you would have a room or living space in a house.
I can formulate an estimate for you. I would need the dimensions of the garage interior and a photo of the garage interior and a bit more description of things like lighting, where you want the light switch, how many plugs any detail that will help to prepare the quotation.
Kind regards,
MDCG
I did one in BC few years ago...You are looking at from $25,000 min. for basic heat and build set up and up depending on how much yuo want to do inside.
