I would like to have permanently installed Christmas Lights on my house under the eves on first & second floor. I’m looking at either “ribbon” or rope lights. I have not bought the lights yet.
There is already a power source there.
No rush, but before the traditional time (The Coldest Day of the Year)!!!
I live in Brampton.
I was wondering how much it will cost me to install 2 meter chandelier. check the website below.click here
Replace 4 inside doors (3 bedroom and one bathroom) on upstairs level of townhouse. (Including measuring, buying new doors, hardware and knobs, delivering and installing doors and disposing of old doors. (only 3 - one is missing)
Replace 2 (possibly 3) light fixtures.
Relocate electrical outlet from above cupboard at right side of stove to over the stove to install over the range microwave. There is already wiring that run to the vent over the stove, the vent will be removed and will be replaced with the over the range microwave. Also run electrical outlet for dishwasher, the dishwasher is being moved from the right side the sink to the let side of the sink. There is an electrical outlet above the cupboard where the dishwasher will be re located to. To be done during kitchen renovation.
This is needed for Tuesday November 19th.

Our electrical mast was damaged during the ice storm and we need it repaired so that we can comply with the city of Brampton. We would like to have it done sooner than later and have already received a couple of estimates.
Please feel free to submit an estimate and arrange a time to view the project. Pictures can also be provided upon request.
2 small jobs at least I think they are small but they need to done ASAP. Install 3 prong plug for stove (stove is a gas range) and change plug in bathroom. One switch currently controls both the fan and light with an added plug switch. Would like a switch for light, switch for the fan and a plug for electric shaver or hair dryer.
The sockets in an upstairs room has been completely burnt out to the point of wiring issues and consistent noises and seeing visual sparking within the socket while all others in the room have completely burnt out. We've had to just turn off the electricity to the sockets within the room and using extension cords from the nearby bathroom to access charging and my humidifier. I'm seeing if it's possible to rewire the entire room.

Hello,
I am looking for licensed electrician to do some electrical work for my own basement legalization in Brampton,ON.
Things to do:
Smoke alarms for entire house
Upgrade electrical panel to 200amp
Move the panel to 8ft long from existing location.
And what ever fixes to need for legal basement
I replaced regular on/off light switch in one bedroom with dimmer switch. When this light is turned on, everything is fine but when this dimmer switch is turned off, the light in the adjacent bedroom does not work nor does outlet in hallway between 2 rooms. I need everything to work while keeping dimmer switch. Otherwise, the dimmer can be removed and room would revert back to original on/off switch.
Safely install a dimmer switch. I had one in the dining room which controlled the light and one outlet. I had carpet cleaners come in and they plugged their machine into the outlet. There must have been too much demand on the circuit because the dimmer switch overheated and partly melted and I believe almost caused a fire. I don't understand why the breaker didn't just trip but it didn't. I had to turn it off manually. I need this problem checked and a new dimmer installed so that it is safe.
We are moving into a new townhouse later next month and need the following electrical work done. 1. Hookup the prewired dishwasher to breaker and fuse panel. 2. Install two additional power outlets in the unfinished basement. We are looking to have this done before our appliances are installed and would like work scheduled for April 24th if possible. Please provide quote estimate via email. Thank you
We moved into a 35 year old house a year ago (fuse panel was upgraded apparently about 8 years ago to accomodate a basement apartment that was in use at the time) and have been happily using our new high efficiency dryer just fine until about three weeks ago. Now all of a sudden, every time the dryer heats it blows a fuse. Now, at first we didn't know it was blowing fuses, there was no power at all and the fuses appeared fine so we switched out the receptical. After some trial and error we discovered it really was the fuses.. it turns out that the 2X30amp buss that are in our fuse box and labelled as the dryer fuses are not in fact powering the dryer, but two glass "S" type 15 amp fuses are. Our dryer repair guy says we just have to switch the 15's for 30's - which obviously won't work as they are S type. and it's probably not the safest. why the dryer worked just fine for a year is a mystery, but bottom line is we need someone who can switch these two circuits so that the dryer is running on the proper fuses in the panel. The good news here is that the fuse panel and the dryer are only a few feet away from each other - as is the circuit that this using the dryer fuses currently.
What kind of a price would I be looking at to do this work?
House was built in the early 1970s - it has a combination of aluminum and copper wiring. It is a 100 amp service with water pipe grounding. The panel is 120/240 volts. (copying from home inspection report) From home inspector report that is required: Service panel is double tapped, needs a sub-panel. Connections in panel need to be improved with a braided wire connection. Branch circuit wiring - support, strain relief required in basement. Aluminum - special connectors, antioxidant recommended. There are open ground outlets on every level of the house, from the basement to main up to second level.
The basement was an illegal apartment and it looks like "do it yourself" wiring was done - an electrician will need to take a look at it and fix/rewire whatever is necessary. Would like to add lighting in the basement and have it on separate switches. (currently laundry room light is dependent on the "kitchen" light)
The light in the master bath does not work - the wires in the light fixtureare aluminum to copper twisted and something just short circuits in it. There was a loose connection in the third bedroom also, likely will need to be checked as well. Would like to add lighting in the master closet and a light over the sink in the master bath.
Need information regarding the aluminum - to copper connections, what the "special connectors" mean or if the house just needs to be fully rewired in copper.
Also would like to add an outdoor electrical outlet out by the deck, and replacing or fixing the pool pump timer.
Depending on the price, would like to be able to do this work in stages from the critical must-be-fixed to say, installation of extra electrical outlets and fixtures if I can't afford everything in one go.
