I've been told the joists under my house are too far apart and one may be cracked. I have soft spots and rooms shake easily if bounced on, especially furnace/laundry room, had to brace washing machine so it wouldn't shake so much, and even had some shims put under laundry area to help the shaking. Everything shook. House is 1025 sq. ft. Born in 1942. :) Crawl space has been very dry and warm. I had the house completely insulated and the young men who did it covered up a couple of vents and it was very damp this year. I've opened everything up and it is much better under there... my personal question is: I was going to move and put lots of furniture, etc. in storage. Need to replace sub-standard electrical (ESA) approved, licensed plumber 4 bathroom and laundry room, new low flush toilet, new suround bath tub-shower(O.B.C.) standards, sub-flooring and finish flooring, 4 exterior doors-with insulation, frames to be repaired (including all hardware), 3 interior wood doorswith locking handles, replaced damaged eavstroughs & down spouts replaced with new non-maitenance eavetroughs and down spouts, also exterior foundation to be repaired and re-parged, need services of spealized contractor in water and moisture problems to investigate and undertake repairs to correct the moisture, mold problem that exists along an outside wall of master-bedroom.
All problems need to be physical looked at and than an estimate given including all taxs, also all debris must be removed by homever does job.
