I have an old deck that probably needs replacing. It has shifted towards the back a few inches, so I think its a total teardown as it might become unsafe with time. Basically I want to replace it with something similar, including gazebo using either composite of cedar materials. Please email me a rough estimate of what it would cost to tear down and build a new deck, gazebo. Gazebo is 18' x 18', the rest of the deck is 36' long by about 12' wide, with stairs going down to the side. Price with cedar and composite seperately.
Thanks
I need a small fence aprox 9ft wide and 6ft tall between a shed and the corner of the house.I also need a deck to be built in the rear of the house aprox width 9ft ,the length as yet to be determined.i would prefer cedar but understand costs therefore i will require a quote in both cedar and pressure treated wood.
We are looking to have a deck built in the backyard of a 1960's semi-detached house we just moved into. The backyard is approximately 16 by 30 feet, 3/4 soil and 1/4ashphalt and I would like to have a deck approximately 16 feet by 14 feet covering the ashphalt and sticking out about 4 feet over the soil/dirt. The ashphalt is an extension of the drive way and is right up against the house. I'd like the deck to be one step up (so maybe 6 inches to 1 foot off of the ground). It's kind of a blank slate at the moment as there is no garden or grass to work around.
We are also looking to build a fence along the side of the yard, approximately 20 feet long, and a fence along the end of the yard (approximately 16 feet long). Looking for prices for deck alone and deck and fences together. In terms of materials, we are on a bit of a budget and would like to spend $3000 or less for deck and fence together, if this is possible. We're also looking for something as soon as possible - I know this is probably the worst time of year as it is probably very busy, but before August if possible.
Deck off back of house needs to be replaced and extended three feet so that it is 16 feet wide by 18 feet deep. There is a set of 3 steps down to the lawn - about 8 feet wide. A second set of stps leads to the side of the house - 3 steps about 3 feet wide.
Fences along 2 sides of the back yard need to be replaced. One fencee covers the deck area only and is 18 feet long by 6 feet tall. the other side covers the deck at 6 feet high - then extends off either direction scaled down to 4 feet for 50 feet.
I would like the 3 level deck at the side of my house replaced with a new pressure treated pine deck as well as a new deck from my 2nd floor sliding doors.
#1 13-6" wide tapered to 9-2"by 10-0"lg with a straight section 9-2"x 8-0";lg.
#2 7-6" wide x 3-6" lg and removable in case the roof it rests on needs to be re shingled
I am the property owner.
Hi,
I want someone to build a deck for me. Here are the details
1. 3 steps down the glass door
2. 10' X 24' square
3. Steps at the end to the yard
4. Material: Cedar + reiling +mesh for under neath ==> i will provide them
I need a quote only on labor and design(design is pretty simple as i just described).
My house has an elevated deck about 26 inches above ground, has existing posts. Need a new deck about 550 square feet, pressure treated preferred.it is in a L shaped configuration
The dimensions are 25 ft X 12 feet on the vertical and the22 X 10 feet on the horizontal side.
I will like 4 steps to the ground 9 feet wide and about 18 inches deep.
Can you estimate about how much it will cost.
Railings are 20 ft on the vertical side and about 22 feet on the horizontal L, can be wood or metal
We own a standard East Toronto semi (20' wide lot); we have a small deck out back along with some interlocking stone (see attached picture). Unfortunately, the retaining walls that were done before we moved into the house (10+ years ago) are not in very good shape. We would like to remove the stone (as well as the small garden bed seen on the lefts) and expand the deck. We'll also require a new back gate and some stairs at the gate.
We would like to complete this job in the spring (early spring if possible), but obviously need an idea of cost first, so we are looking for a contractor who will be able to come take a look at the space. Our idea is not fixed, and if you're able to provide some alternate ideas of what to do with the space, we're open to it.
I have a detailed architectural drawing of my deck and i have bought all the material I will need, so i am just looking to pay for labour. Aspects of this job that need to be executed in order to complete the project are identified below, but please study the drawing attached and send me an official quote:
1. Dismantle decking on existing 6x7 deck, leave structure (re-use decking in item 4)
2. Pour 2 additional footings (concrete, sono-tubes and brace provided)
3. Supply and install 3 wall braces to hold 6x6 post to wall (braces provided)
4. Cover side of stairs with decking in order to create storage space under stair
5. Build/or purchase door under stairs to allow access to storage area
6. Build Trellis as per drawing
7. Extend deck structure, decking as per drawing (adding an extra 10x7.10)
8. Install deck railing as per drawing (railing kit suppliedclick here build small protective gate at the top of stairs
Please provide quote on labour, any additional material needed can be bought as needed during project. Please also indicate how long the project will last. current and final deck structure is about 7.5ft off the ground.
I can email you detailed Architectural drawings to assist in quotation.
Thanks

Build backyard deck and add door where window is.
To cut an opening where the existing window is to create an entrance
To supply and install a new door - approx. size - 36€ x 80€
To supply all necessary materials and labour to build a new deck approx. 12 ft. long and 13 ft. wide using 2x8 pressure treated wood, 4x4 columns with cement base, regular decking boards
To supply all necessary materials and labour to build a 7 ft. high fence on the south side of the deck and stairs on the other side to gain access to the backyard and air conditioner
Build the frame only for a deck using pressure treated wood.
It is roughly, a 4' x 12' deck at 3' 3" height, with stairs down to a 4' x 30' deck at ground level. Frame only. I will be putting the deck material on myself at a later date. Note that the direction of the deck material will be in the short direction.
The ground is an existing 8" thick slab of concrete, which can be used for support of the deck.
The deck needs to slope away from the house.
Rear deck, approx 10' x 15' - remove deck, stairs and lattice siding. Remove attached supporting cement pad - approx. 2' x 15 '. Build stairs and landing from ground level to kitchen door entry. Carry on with matching siding from where deck was installed to ground level.
Remove and replace 1 wall of drywall. Dispose of all materials and leave site in order.

Hello there,
I would like to get a quote on having 6 holes 48” drilled and cement and post poured 12”. I have attached the permit drawing as what is required. One thing to take into consideration is there is an existing 8” concert pad that has to be broken where holes need to be placed. I have attached pictures to show what pad looks like.
Hi - we just moved in to a house which already has an elevated second floor enclosed wood deck. It is similar to a sun room, and the roof of it used to be another deck for the third floor of the house, however the railing has been taken down. The structure was originally connected to and supported by the house, though over time it seems to have 'torn away' and is now free standing and no longer safe to use.
I'd like to get a quote to secure it to the house, as well as adding a railing on the roof of the sun room to restore it as a balcony for the third floor.
Our budget is quite tight, and we'd really just like to enjoy the outdoors safely, we are not concerned about how it looks asthetically. And as it is just a repair, we are hoping it could be done relatively quickly.
Please let me know if you need any more details, or if we can arrange a visit.
Thanks!
Heidi
there are two decks, both the same size, one on the second floor of the home and the other on the third
the stairs are at the side of the house & are the main entrance into the building
We are conscious of the cost and so have a few hoped-for outcomes:
replace the stairs (we're told they can't be repaired)
sand and stain the front deck landing boards (currently they are painted and the paint does not last well) potentially adding some kind of non-slip surface on the stairs
sand and repaint the front deck railing
replace the boards for both the unit 3 & unit 5 balconies (we want to replace with either pressure treated or stained wood; we do not want to repaint and don't expect the same narrow boards that are currently there)
repair the railings (they are fussy heritage stuff that would have to be replaced as-is & we don't have the money to spend on that)
sand and repaint the railings on both balconies as well as the to
Hi Everyone,
I am looking to wrap up my deck restoration project before my daughter is born in July. So Ideally, I'd like to select someone by this week.
The top deck is 125 SQF; then it has 6 steps leading down. The bottom deck is 146 SQF. I have attached pictures for your review. I can't tell if any of the wood needs to be replaced; but Ideally I'd like it to be cleaned, and then sealed with transparent sealent as I like the natural look. The team/person doing the work would have to move the Patio set and BBQ into the garage before starting work, and help place it back after work is complete.
If you think you can help, and would like to offer a free estimate and see the deck in person; please text me. I am working from home, so I have some flexibilities.
Thank you for your time!
Ahsan

We just recently did an extension on our house and we are now looking to build a deck or patio at the back. We have a permit for a deck (see drawing attached) but we are considering changing it to a smaller deck with a patio or just only build patio. We are looking for someone to help us build and also hopefully give us some ideas as well.
