Good afternoon,
Residential home: Exterior Front Steps
Small Project: Weather treated wood steps with wooden Balustrads and Balusters. (to be stained as well)
My name is Patricia and I need some work done to my exterior home. I need weather treated wood, exterior front steps with wood balustrads and balusters. I'm looking for the best possible quote for this project. Please not that this job should be completed within less than a day.
Thank you!
Our victorian row house 3rd floor walks out to a wooden deck (with fence). The wood is old & the foundation requires leveling. We would like to re-do the whole thing with a modern comtemporary design and replace the wood. We are looking for a quote for material & design consulation/suggestions.
We have just bought a Victorian home in Toronto. The interior has been renovated. The third floor is loft with a skylight in the back slanted roof. Behind this portion of the roof is flat roof (over the kitchen). We would like to replace the skylight with a door and build a roof top patio over the kitchen. I think a dormer will need to be built out from the roof to hold the door.

i am moving into a loft downtown on july 1st and the purchase includes approx. 500sqft allotment on the roof for a deck/terrace. i have already had architectural drawing done up and they are extremely detailed. The project includes stairs from 2nd floor bedroom up to a dormer on the roof. Decking and sufficiant water proofing on ground and approx a 4 1/2 ft fence along 2 sides. and 8ft fence along the other 2 sides.
We live in a 2 storey home (approx. 100 years old) in downtown Toronto. The roof peaks at the front of the house, but, the back 2/3 of the roof is essentially flat behind the peak and we would love to utilize the space as a rooftop deck. The available roof space, we estimate is about 22ft x 16ft.
In order to access the roof, what we'd like to do is have a small deck/landing built off of the 2nd floor in the back with a set of stairs (maybe even a spiral staircase) leading up to the roof. We have no idea how much a job like this will cost. Ideally, we'd like the project to begin early next Spring, but, we'd like to have an idea of cost so that we can begin budgeting and planning immediately.
We look forward to hearing from you!

The project is to build a second floor backyard balcony for our house in Little Italy, Toronto with access only from our guest bedroom.
My preference is to work with individual contractors or smaller companies with experience in this area.
I'd like to be presented with a few costed options in terms of material, balcony size etc.
I am a renovations contractor seeking a carpenters helper to assist in construction of a medium sized garden shed in the Bloor West/Jane street area.
Applicant must have some rough-carpentry experience, know to use basic carpentry tools and have own work boots and tool belt.
I am ready to hire.
Please email me or call me.
we're currently seeking quotes for a new multi tiered deck for our main floor and a second balconied deck for our upper level of the house. we'd like if you can come by and see the propery to render an adequate quote to us.
we've had several quotes and the ball park price has been 5,000 to 6,000 dollars and so this is our current budget.
we look forward to hearing from you.
many thanks,

Hello,
I build a 8 x 19 feet basement walkout right at the corner of the house (2 poured concrete walls).
Installed the wood frame and stair down to basement.
Need to finish the deck floor, railings and cover the whole thing with a pergola like in the links above
Requires experience to work with and special tools.
The railings and pergola can be from cedar.
Thanks
Nick
Looking for a qualified contractor who can supply and install stair railings that meet current code standards for a multi-residential apartment building in Toronto. Two buildings, both 8 floors. Must price to remove existing. Must have WSIB, insurance, samples of prior similar work and at least 3 references. Site meeting will be held soon at a date to be determined for those who qualify.
I have approx. 5'x4' really wet cold room with broken deck tiles.
Water coming through deck and I see damaged walls and a lot water on floor.
I think that for sure deck repair/replacement required includes waterproofing membrane and new railing.
And possibly exterior/interior waterproofing and concrete walkway may be required
Important: This job must be completed by July 13.
I have a 12' by 15' flat roof wooden deck with a three sided railing that is rotten and needs to be removed and rebuilt. The existing deck is built on a 2" by 6" frame that sits on the flat roof, with deck boards on top and a three sided rail constructed around the outside. My guess is this is no more than a 1.5 day job for two craftsmen. We would request that the old wood be removed from the property.
Please provide an estimated cost. Prospective bidders will be contacted by the home owner.
Thank you.
PS. please do not reply to this posting if you can not complete the job by July 13.
I have a 5 step staircase with iron railings that I will remove before work begins...I just need to replace them with some wood ones Cedar or pressure treated depending on price as I am selling the house,.the ground is concrete...I understand having to come and see the job but a rough estimate response would be great.
thanks for your time.
Gabriel.
