Do I need a contractor's License if I want to change the floor in the house of other people?
In my experience no you don't need a contractor license, if it's for friends or family I would just do it.
If it's for a new client I would have an agreement drawn up and maybe get insurance if your looking to do this more often, but when I started I just started without any of that and as I made money and got big jobs I got all those things and registered a business name.
Every circumstance is different. You do need a license for doing flooring.
Sorry you do not need a license for flooring.
Unless it's some specific product that requires training for the manufacturer for warranty purposes
No, however I warn clients to stay away from uncertified/licensed contractors who typically are not professionals or legally guarantee warranties.
