How much does it cost for labour to remove bathtub insert and replace with shower insert? Including installation of shower head and glass doors.
Thanks very much for your inquiry. The estimate for that job would be about $4500 (only labor)

Good morning Toronto,
I would plan on $3000 to $5000. The reason is that there is usually much more to it than just removing the tub and installing a shower. Plumbing has to be re-routed, walls have to be opened and re-done, floor has to be level for proper drainage ... and more. It may be less but this is a "ballpark" for your labour costs.
Regards from Alberta.
It would depend on what is the scope you are providing for a company to complete.
However, the total cost from the initial demolition to completion would be approximately $4000-$6000.
An accurate price can be provide when a detailed scope of work is available.
I hope this helps.
Hi,
If it is just converting the bathtub insert to a walk in shower insert, then you are looking at anywhere from 4K to 5K.
However typically when bathroom re-modelling is undertaken, it usually involves wall repairs outside the shower area, also floor tiles in the bathroom also do end up getting replaced. All these factors can increase teh base price of the shower.
Add to it the type of the material you are selecting in terms of tiles. If regular porcelain tiles then that remains within the budget. If you are going with large format polished porcelain tiles AND if you also want to have these installed on the shower ceiling as well then this shower enclosure can run you as high as $7,000 to $9,000.
Hope this helps and wish you all the best.
