Cost to create basement entrance?

I would appreciate some input on cost and length of work estimated, on opening an entrance to the basement by going through the laundry floor (inside the house) situated inside the house's side entrance. I have existing stairs already in the middle of the house which I would like removed or transferred to the new location.
I live in northeast Brampton and the house is 22 years old. I'm only looking for cost ideas right now.
