I would like advice regarding exterior masonry work including refitting of drainpipe

The house was built in 1984 and shows cracks in masonry. I want to ensure that excess ground water from the garden cannot penetrate through the walls. Since a drainpipe is broken, I am concerned that this can worsen the masonry.

1st fix drain pipe and direct all water from house, make sure grade is away from house, make sure all cracks are repaired, visible and below grade and last make sure you have weeping tile, if not and you continue too have leak issues then have some installed. All these, unless addressed can contribute to possible egress issues.
