Technology to help interior decorators work remotely

Hi guys,

I'm hoping to pick the collective brain of this community....I noticed many of you share layouts, images and photos of your space on this forum to get help on design ideas from the community. Often I see that people will ask each other to add more pictures and layout drawings to give them a better understanding of the space.

I experienced this first hand when using a remote interior designer to help design my living room recently. The designer ended up picking some items that didn't quite fit in my room initially, because I just didn't give her enough information.

I was wondering if any of you have experienced this in the past. If so, I'd love to connect with you. I work in the field of 3D scanning and I've been researching ways to use regular old phones to create 3D scans of spaces as a better tool for designers to get a "feel" for a space.

I was just hoping to see what you guys think about this and whether this could help interior designers or home renovation contractors capture better information about a space in an easier way.
