Hi,

We're trying to figure out the budget for our home renovation and need a ballpark price for our home gutting, to rip it to studs, all the floors, drywall, kitchen, bathrooms etc.

A total of 5000 sq.f., including 1500sq.f of tile on the main floor. The rest is carpet, 4 bathrooms, 8-12 feet ceilings. 25 year old home.

What is the price for the labour to gut a house?

Thank you!

Hello there,

Well there is really no figures to throw out there without physically seeing the amount of work involved.

To realistically give you a true figure that might scare you, it is best to call us/or contractor in to evaluate more less the price for your demolition project.

It can run from $8000 to upwards of $13000 to gut inside whole house to despozing of all materials. We've done demos from $6500 but it all depends what is being removed.

Hope that helps ;)

It is difficult to say as there are so many variables when pulling a house to pcs. The last major gut we did on a 3000 sqft home we has 19 each 20 yard containers of garage at an average disposal cost of $500.00 ea.

Hope this helps, it isn't the labour that costs but the disposal.

Thank you. It seems like gutting is not that expensive, must be like about 10% of a total renovation costs.
